my name is willa and i want you all to know what if you are injured and need a hand, you're free to call me instead of 911. i know it's wonderful to have a hot firefighter scoop you up and whisk you to an ambulance, but i'm a healer so i can also do that.

i probs cannot pick you up, actually and there are some caveats. i can and will heal a paper cut, but some things should be dealt with on your own i think. it's not noble to suffer but i don't want to put band-aid out of business, they will sue me. so use your best judgement.

second, much like the genie of the lamp, i can't bring people back from the dead. i'm not jesus. but a cut, a dismemberment, a stabbing, a shark bite, or perhaps you were gored by a minotaur because you didn't knock before going to the center of the maze. i'm you girl, that's me, your man in havana. [Since the false universe had...ended? Collapsed? She'd felt its loss far ore keenly than she'd felt anything in her entire life. She couldn't remember it. She knew it had existed, but she couldn't remember what had happened - and why she felt such a profound sense of loss over it.]

[Whatever it was caused an ache in her heart, a feeling she'd never experienced before. She'd never had anything to really lose, before. Cadmus hadn't encouraged much of anything in the way of possessions. She was a weapon, made for a mission. And that had been enough.]

[Here, though, she'd begun to follow her own desires, and that had been fun and then there was...there was...something. Something warm, and perfect and its loss caused her such sadness.]

[And having nobody to talk to about that, and never having experienced these feelings before...]

[The video comes on, and she's clearly handed the device over to an onlooker. In the distance, there is a massive-looking robot, a good eight feet tall. It's surrounded by police cars, which it is firing into with an arm-mounted gatling gun. The story has been on the news, some mad scientist or other - the police have her in custody already - but her creation has been absconding with materials...until now.]

Just make sure they see, ok?

[The camera is held, shakily, a voice mentioning this is a bad idea on their part - but Galatea launches up into the sky, streaking for altitude.]

[She has no idea what these feelings are. But she's sure she knows how to make them better. And so it is that the robot looks up, single red eye glowing, raising its arm and firing into the sky as a white-clad blur slams down into it. The bullets do nothing to her, and the robot is driven into the ground. And then she starts to slam her fists down into its chestplate, the sound of them ringing off the metal drowning out everything.]

[One of the robot's arms manages to strike her across the head, and this creates a look on her face of even greater rage. She steps down hard on the shoulder joint, ripping the arm from its socket with a roar. And then strikes the robot across the head over and over again with it, until the face plate comes flying off - and then, breaking the arm over her leg and tossing it aside, she balls her fists and unleashes a blast of red eye beams directly into the robot's sensitive circuitry, frying through it in seconds. Only when the robot stops moving does she reach down, tearing the remains of the head free and then crushing it bit by bit between her hands, until it's just a lump of metal.]

[She steps away from it, floating a few inches off the ground, past the faces of police who are less thankful than confused - and a bit frightened. She retrieves her device, and before it shuts off, her voice can be heard again - and the especially keen-eyed may think they noticed a tear on her cheek.]

There. That'll show them.

Okay all, that was a whole thing last month. And I know that there are plenty of people who are still... shaken from it. So I'm going to do the best I can to help you.

I'm offering hugs and a caring ear and my personal hot chocolate recipe. I know it's not a lot, but trust me, I'm used to big traumas like this. And it's a good place to start. I'm happy to travel to do it.

Or, you know, we could set up an emotional support group. Allowed across guilds and vigilantes too, sorta a neutral space. You know, if you want.

Gotta ask because I wanted to find more sources on this than just what I've been fed. How have people gone about getting costumes for their whole, you know, work here? Any advice? Specialists that can be consulted?

I'm completely at a loss here except for comics from back home, and damn those costumes were not the greatest.

Secret identities aren't really a thing for the Legion, with codenames mostly being a thing to honor the heroes that came before, but something feels off about this whole sprocking situation feels off. Chuck's not giving the Guilds anything they can use against him until after he's gotten a clear lay of the land.]

Hey, folks. I figured I'm due an introduction. The name's Green Lantern. I'm from another universe full of superheroes, kind of like this one, except we don't have guilds and usually they like us back home. Anyway, I usually look out for space. Sort of a space hero rather than an earth one, but I'm here all the same.

So if you need the help, give a call? I'd put in a signal but I think someone might get testy about that. Branding issues, you know.

Oh, and since it's the new year's. Got any interesting resolutions? There's always room for self-improvement.

Or if you don't want to share, got a request? My ring can create anything and I thought it might be fun to have some creative fireworks.

[He'll be banned at some point, but many many clown-themed copycat usernames will spring up and proliferate the same video. (It pays to not casually murder your tech goon sometimes). It'll spread enough that not everyone will see it but it'll still reach Jason's eyes.]

[The video has a drop cloth behind it, hiding the actual location it's being filmed in. It opens on the image of a cake.]

[Off screen, the Joker starts singing both halves of the duet, but the lyrics are altered.]

Or at least of you rolling with mine! [He laughs an abrupt little laugh at his own joke and gives him a little waves.]

[His voice drops to something far more sinister.]

The name's Kyle Rayner. Just arrived, from New York if you've heard of it. I'm lucky enough to get one of those unlimited credit cards, but I doubt it'll hold out for long and starving artist is not a box I'd like to fill in.

[ there's still snow melting on jon's shoulders and in his curls as he lifts a hand in greeting, a small, slightly uncertain smile on his face. evidently he's done the superman thing and either speedran the introduction to this new dimension, or else after the alliance brought the newbies to the diadem, he'd instead gone back out to help in the blizzard for a while longer. both options are equally likely. ]

Hi. [ for a moment, he looks every inch the worried seventeen-year-old he really is, but then his expression smooths, smile firming into friendly confidence. ] For those that don't know me, at home, I'm called Superman. I don't usually operate at the behest of a particular organization, but.. this isn't my dimension, I guess. [ he's probably still not signing up for a guild, considering he didn't even join the league, but.. you know. never say never. ]

Anyway, I still have a lot to pick up, since I'm a pretty new arrival, but I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself, since I'm aware that an unexpected blue-and-red blur in the sky could be kind of alarming if you don't know what it is.

ONLINE COMMUNICATION

This community is meant to simulate online interactions between characters. The game lacks a closed network but characters have a number of choices when it comes to expressing themselves to their fellow metas.

OURPOWERS

OurPowers, the primary social media site for metahumans, operates just like Facebook. Posts and comments will have a picture of your character and their name. Players can have multiple OurPowers profiles. Posts on Ourpowers are done under their civilian name or metahuman alias.

OurPowers does have an anonymous feature. In world, this feature is there to allow metahumans the freedom to ask questions without outing themselves. It can be used for most anything, though. Replies can either be anonymous or names can be attached.

CLOSED GUILD NETWORKS

This community can be used for private guild communication. All Society members are given access to the Society's network. And all Alliance members have access to the Alliance's. Unaffiliated characters will need to set up their own.

These networks are unhackable. Any attempts to do so must be posted on the Plotting Page.
