Enough about me, though, I do hate talking about myself at great length. Plus, everyone wants to know how, yes? So I'll shut up and get to the point.

I see little issue with the latter.

You mentioned that you could sense the guilt Ikol carried with him. We could always meet up and see what you can glean from me.

Or I could tell you things I wouldn't know unless I truly had left.

Given my history, I see worlds of issue with the latter. There's a reason people talk about deals with the devil. In the end, you don't win.

He can feel him in the house, so he bypasses the phone screen and heads upstairs, doing him the courtesy of one sharp knock on the door before just letting himself in. ]

Was there a purpose to that knock or...?

[His magical presence is nearly the same as before, other than the little piece of demon wedged in his soul. While he's not more powerful, this does register as his true form and not an illusion, if only because he believes it to be his true form, so it is.]

[ The amount of drama this brat has caused is truly impressive, a hurried cabal of all those concerned with his well-being has collected and dispersed, a plan formed in their wake. Thing is, there has been so much talk of Ikol, so much frothing and foaming in the mouths of others about a murderer and an old skin-stealing villain that the effect almost had one very devastating end ("I feel like I'm becoming the bad guy, Billy,") instead of another: namely, this. Memories, returned. Stories he has not cared to remember, a time before his time ("a bird, cawing,") now stirred to the surface as the perspective of his former ego-death assists in navigating those first recollections.

Beginning to end, Loki admits now he remembers all their time together, tailoring some appropriate words out of their past to fit the moment. ]

Power corrupts, and you shall have little of it.

[ He stares at the boy for a long moment, leaning forward over his knees where he blinks, unimpressed at the broadcast. Wearied, but calm. Disappointed instead of angered, but his sympathy is stony. ]
