Enough about me, though, I do hate talking about myself at great length. Plus, everyone wants to know how, yes? So I'll shut up and get to the point.

How did it fall?

[No, he doesn't think this is Ikol. He thinks this is something worse than that. He thinks this is the Loki That Was. The Old Man as the other two sometimes call him.]

It ran out of soldiers to fight all the wars it wrought. Naturally, Hel grew more powerful. Thor's been there since the war against Surtur and his Engels.

And who started those wars? What did you do to prevent them?

[Because it sounds like this Loki reaped all the benefits.]

The first one was Surtur, obvi. I did everything I could to prevent it and Asgard still hated me. So when I found Leah, we decided we had had enough. Why not let it all burn?

Together we tricked Surtur, but a good amount of damage had already been done. Hela aimed to finish the job. This time Leah and I retrieved the fear crown from Nightmare and others, and with its power, we managed to overthrow Hela. With Leah on the throne, she ceased to exist.

Then there was Heven, once it was reunited with the World Tree. Leah and I convinced them there was point in fighting, with their enemy already defeated. Thus there was peace in Asgard for all time.

To answer your earlier question, no, I don't think you're Ikol.

So? You believe me then?

I believe you are what you always intended to be.

[David stood up, and the look on David's face was an actually sad one.]

You are Loki Laufeyson, The Lie-Smith, manifest in the flesh he intended to take hold of, and with a clean slate. But you are what you always schemed to be. Seems that you didn't need to use Ikol to come into your resurgence of power. Just to convince a child to listen to a voice whispering in the back of his mind. And you even managed to see your brother dead and Asgard fallen, as you would have wanted. Power is yours, and Midgard better fall in line lest our mortal skulls make your throne.

You are not the child I knew, not in any future he would have worked. He was mischief, yes, but he was good in a way no other Loki ever could be. He was a hero. He was my friend. And I swore to be his ally. Even against the corruption of himself. I swear by your own name that I will restore him.

[And with that, he turned to walk right out. He was absolutely turned off his lunch.]

I'm not him! I killed him!

[he yells after him, before teleporting in front of David to prevent him from leaving.]

If you consider yourself my friend, you should understand. I have wanted to kill Thor since the moment he brought me back to Asgard. And I did, twice. That was by my design, not the old man's, not Ikol's.

[Really? He's doing this? As if David can't get away from him. He's got plenty of tactics up his sleeve, he'd prefer not to use them.]

You don't want to kill Thor, you love him. You love your brother. Which is how I'm even more certain that there is more of the Old Man in you than there is of the kid you claim to have been.

[And then he moves around Loki, continuing toward the door.]

He left me! Alone. Of course I hate him! H-He's the reason I'm alive, why I have to-

[Aaaand Loki's crying. As he sniffles and wipes away his tears, he does seem much younger than before. Embarrassed, he teleports back to Sunset Falls.]

[Yeah, he felt like shit for that. Making the guy cry was SUPER not fair, but it sure sold the idea that this was just a kid under a vaneer of something else. At least he hadn't had to resort to his other tactic. Instead he strode outside and started to reach out to the other Loki, the one he needed to help him fix this.]
