Howdy, Heroes! good eVening, Villains! it's your resident Gwenpool, checking in with a question for all you fine folks who've been yanked here willy-nilly from across the multiverse!

WHAT'S YOUR HOME LIKE? and also, slightly more importantly: WHERE ELSE HAVE YOU BEEN?

it's come across my radar that there are a few others of us out there for whom this isn't their first extra-universal rodeo, so to speak. not their first time crossing the streams. not their first trip to another world, is what I'm saying. so if you fit that definition, I want you to come talk to me! tell me all about the world you come from, the other world(s) you've been to, what they were like, how you got there.

if anyone who's smarter than me wants to take note of all this and maybe do some research on what the common elements are in these collected stories, by all means, be my guest!
as for me, I'm mostly just curious.

I did some dimensional traveling recently! It was entirely unintentional. I was actually meant to be returning to my own world when I ended up here instead.

I only spent a couple of days in the other world, so I'm not sure how much I could tell you about it. Their technology was well beyond anything that existed in my world. It was 2022 there and only 2004 for me, but I don't think that accounts for all of it. They must have had several earlier advances that we didn't.

[Like, you know. Maybe if someone hadn't fucked up the whole clean energy solution thing.]

I spent the whole time in their New York City. It was similar enough to mine that I could navigate it, but they had some landmarks I didn't recognize. An "A" tower, some kind of giant shield they were sticking on the Statue of Liberty. Never did find out why that was.

Outside of the technology, they also had magic, apparently.
Some kind of wizard spell was responsible for bringing all of us there.
My world doesn't have magic, so I really can't explain that.

There were seven of us total - four from my own world, three from another.
Despite apparently coming from the same dimensions, none of us arrived from the same point in time, which might actually imply that we were from extremely similar variant timelines. Hard to say without knowing the results of what happened.

[He's very clearly approaching this with a scientific bent. This kind of theory's not his field, but it's interesting - more than that, it's become extremely relevant.]

I can't speak for the second world, but I'm not familiar with Instagram or landsharks either.
Is that a common pet?

that shield you mentioned... was it round, red white & blue, with a star in the middle?

yeah, it's a start. but given that 1) there are many universes with a Loki of Asgard in them, and 2) this place can pull people from any point in their respective timelines, and I know of at least one universe where there have been different Lokis at different times... I'm gonna need some more hints.

Jeff may have competition for the super-pet of the year. But maybe if we find enough sidekicks, we can put a calendar together. I'm sure there's plenty of rescues to help out.

On the subject of multiple realities? Well, I don't actually know if my timeline fully exists anymore or if I'm some kind of temporal remnant. A lot can change in a thousand years. But the multiverse pretty much was a thing until it wasn't and then it was again in my world, and that's even more crazy of a story.

Not to mention this isn't the first random place to gather people from other universes I've been to.

I guess so! I've done it, and then two people I know from Earth-616 who are here said they've been to other worlds before here, too. so apparently it happens way more often than you would think!
