I’m Amadeus also known as the Totally Awesome Hulk. [he flexes for the camera.] And this here is Ms. Marvel. Back home us and a few others had a team going and while it’s just the two of us so far why not expand?

Hey, so we’ve been thinking about this for a while and we were wondering if anyone would be interested in a kind of . . . off brand guild. No special privileges or anything, sorry. But a guild we can all agree and work together and not be . . . part of the system.

I know we’ve all been there. Been burned by adults and other heroes. Seen what corporations can do to heroes. And I think here, we can start our own guild. Do what’s right because that’s what heroes do. Small or big, up to you.

So what do you say? Want to start the Protectors with us?

My only rules are you can’t have signed up with the guilds already. And if you’re underaged let me know and I can sign whatever notes you need to get out of school.

I am 19, you know. Schools usually just want to cover their butts so as long as someone else says they’ll take responsibility it’s fine.

Old. Anyway, if you’re interested, maybe tell us a bit about yourself? Code name, powers, maybe what you’d like to get out of being in a guild like this. We all need to work together.

I don't know if it's much competition. It's not like we have benefits or anything to offer anybody.

Yeah, I guess not... it's more like adding a third party to a two-party system. It could be a good thing.

Plus the Protectors is a pretty good name.

Right now they probably won't care, but if we can get some traction later they might.

[And that requires being seen as a viable third option by the wider community and not just a gang of teens.]

I never joined a guild officially because I'm not really sure it's for me. I mean, I don't know if this is either, but it seems less...loaded? Maybe?

Anyway, I'm Spider-Man and I do spider things. You know, I'm strong and fast and flexible and I can swing on webs.

Man, no, sorry. That's a terrible description. But I think Ms. Marvel already knows a little about me. Or recognises my name, even if it's one of those multiverse things.

Yeah, we both know you. And that's the idea, it shouldn't be a loaded commitment. Like. We're all heroes and we care about helping others. That should be our first and biggest thing.

We don't want to get swept up in guilds and money, we want to make sure we're for the community first.

I like that. I mean, I'm just a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man back home, y'know? Community is really important to me.

Yeah, we know Spider-Man.

[He files away the details of what he can pick up to go over later, but he makes a guess that this isn't a version of Miles, rather a version of the older Spider-Man.]

Personally I'd rather do my own thing and help people even if it might be inconvenient for the guilds.

For people who aren't in one of the other guilds, we also could use more safety in numbers. We don't know what's going to pop up in this world. We don't have a clue about the full range of badness that could blow up in our faces because we don't have experience here.

And apparently the Confluences are totally cool with dragging in the worst of the worst from some of our home universes at random.

[He's not doing that again. He plans on being real stubborn about getting Tim in on this. Having both the Bats and a teen team to back him up will make him even safer.]

I'd want to get to know you guys a little first, but I'm possibly in. I go by Superboy. And Kon-El. My friends call me Kon.

[It's his Kryptonian name, not his Kent name, so he's always been comfortable giving it away to other capes. He's using neither as his secret identity here.]

I'm not broadcasting my whole power set on public post, though.

I've lucked out in having a power set only mostly identical to a a guy who's basically one of the biggest names back home, like this Atomight guy. It's saved my butt more than once that a villain assumed we were identical because I have this one big power that he doesn't.

So I'll just say I'm a pretty heavy hitter.

Sure. If you want to catch us in person or reach out privately, we're fine with it. We just want to get the conversation started.

And it's cool that you're a heavy hitter . . . Are you worried about someone potentially coming here?

Exactly. While they seem find to leave us alone for now, who knows what might happen in the future? [Except he probably could calculate the likelihood of any given outcome.]

If it'd make you feel more comfortable we could meet up somewhere instead and maybe find out who's stronger between us.
