I’m Amadeus also known as the Totally Awesome Hulk. [he flexes for the camera.] And this here is Ms. Marvel. Back home us and a few others had a team going and while it’s just the two of us so far why not expand?

Hey, so we’ve been thinking about this for a while and we were wondering if anyone would be interested in a kind of . . . off brand guild. No special privileges or anything, sorry. But a guild we can all agree and work together and not be . . . part of the system.

I know we’ve all been there. Been burned by adults and other heroes. Seen what corporations can do to heroes. And I think here, we can start our own guild. Do what’s right because that’s what heroes do. Small or big, up to you.

So what do you say? Want to start the Protectors with us?

My only rules are you can’t have signed up with the guilds already. And if you’re underaged let me know and I can sign whatever notes you need to get out of school.

[ she glances at him. ]

I am 19, you know. Schools usually just want to cover their butts so as long as someone else says they’ll take responsibility it’s fine.

Old. Anyway, if you’re interested, maybe tell us a bit about yourself? Code name, powers, maybe what you’d like to get out of being in a guild like this. We all need to work together.

That is a big plus, yeah. This whole Unaligned thing can feel really isolating, it'll be cool just to talk about it with other people.

Wait, hold up, I'm pretty sure Ms Marvel knows my whole deal, but do you need a rundown?

I've heard about the name stealing from Herc, but that's about it.

[While he didn't exactly ask the original Champions if they were okay with them taking the name at least he was connected with them.]

Ohhh, you mean the GLA? Yeah, they were the Great Lakes Champions at one point, then the Great Lakes X-Men, and they switched to the Great Lakes Initiative after one too many lawsuits. They won the right to call themselves Great Lakes Avengers after a poker game.

[ Look, she was sixteen at the time, she takes no responsibility for the naming decisions! ]

But nah, I meant a rundown on the squirrel stuff. Basically, hecka strong and agile, good at climbing, talks to squirrels.

Don't worry, he didn't mean it. It's because he's old that he likes to complain sometimes.

I... guess so? I mean, I don't have the rotating ankles or anything, but animal-themed heroes who can talk to their namesake animals don't seem to be a Thing. You'd think it'd be more common.

Huh, you're right. I think Captain America is the only other guy I know of and he's not going by Falcon any more.
