[ the ourpowers feed starts up with kamala and amadeus in the park. except they’re not kamala and amadeus, but ms. marvel in full costume and amadeus as the hulk, except not the hulk most people might be familiar with. he’s a younger, more confident hulk. they’re sitting on a bench and kamala flashes a peace sign. ]

I’m Amadeus also known as the Totally Awesome Hulk. [he flexes for the camera.] And this here is Ms. Marvel. Back home us and a few others had a team going and while it’s just the two of us so far why not expand?

Hey, so we’ve been thinking about this for a while and we were wondering if anyone would be interested in a kind of . . . off brand guild. No special privileges or anything, sorry. But a guild we can all agree and work together and not be . . . part of the system.

I know we’ve all been there. Been burned by adults and other heroes. Seen what corporations can do to heroes. And I think here, we can start our own guild. Do what’s right because that’s what heroes do. Small or big, up to you.

So what do you say? Want to start the Protectors with us?

My only rules are you can’t have signed up with the guilds already. And if you’re underaged let me know and I can sign whatever notes you need to get out of school.

I am 19, you know. Schools usually just want to cover their butts so as long as someone else says they’ll take responsibility it’s fine.

Old. Anyway, if you’re interested, maybe tell us a bit about yourself? Code name, powers, maybe what you’d like to get out of being in a guild like this. We all need to work together.

I don’t know if the number of eyes will help. People vanish; it’s ostensibly related to the Confluences. It would have to be investigated.

Still better than nothing. It's far too easy to fall between the cracks if you're not affiliated.

They’ve engineered it that way to incentivize “voluntarily” enrolment.

Sometimes, I wonder if it occurs to them that they’re actually narrowing the pool too far.

I’d have more questions, if it weren’t for that. I’ll have to settle for pointing out that Totally Awesome Hulk is a mouthful in a fight.

The government couldn't possibly be interested in little old us. We're just two kids wanting to make friends. It'd be absolutely overkill to do anything about this and even weirder to be keeping tabs.

Oh, absolutely. This is purely a clique-building exercise. The feds would obviously know that any experienced team would have more criteria and rules. You can’t just let anyone in. That would be chaos.

I do have a hard time believing that you get people to use a six syllable code name. Even two or three syllable names get truncated down to a syllable, like your friend S.B. Or is it Supes?
