[The message was easy to trace. Given the context of it, Jason guesses that it was deliberate. After that, Jason taps into a Society teleporter from Central City to go to Sunset Falls.

He's full dressed and armed as the Red Hood as he calmly waits for Damian]

[ he's never going to get used to someone other than his jason todd wearing that mask. damian's dressed in his civvies, his long hair pulled back from his face in a loose braid. he's armed, no doubt about that, but he moves with the grace and confidence of someone who knows he could take out his opponent with his bare hands. ]

Red Hood. [ cordial as can be. ] Took you longer than I expected.

[ kyle thought he heard something. he goes to open his door and . . . there's someone there. ]

Uh. Do you have the right place?

[ really, he knows jason can take care of himself. damian is fairly confident that his brother doesn't need anyone to give the shovel talk, but he's not going to deny himself the fun.

he's stretched out on kyle's couch, casually sharpening a sword. ]

Rayner. [ a long drag of the whetstone along the blade. ] Your security sucks.

( ever since his computer picked up the keyword wayne from that audio file, he'd been searching up the name through every means possible. damian wayne. there's dick grayson, jason todd, tim drake. and now, damian wayne.

it's that last name there that has him feeling... some way.

the searches through his laptop bring up hardly anything but he's not about to reply to the audio file. he's busy — pensive — and figures this is the one who he's been gently warned about. he's only just started to become accustomed to the whiplash he gets from the jasons whenever they interact with each other. he doesn't know if he can take a third on for that.

but.

he's out during the night. cape and cowl. because he is the night and all. plus, he's still looking for joker — for anything that can lead him to him. it's why he's on the rooftop of a relatively tall building near the park jason had given him about a kidnapping happening some months ago that had possibly been joker's doing. a trail that had gone cold, it seems, but. he's still there. watching. looking for anything that might give him something to go on. tucked into the shadows as he does. )

[ it's coming. has been since jason let him know. bruce wayne is in this world, and regardless of the world he hails from, damian's feelings are complicated.

but he put out the call. and their name - their blood - is a thread he knows bruce won't be able to resist tugging on. its a connection that binds them for better and for worse.

damian's not bothering to hide himself tonight. he moves less like a wild thing. a blend of dick grayson's strength, ingrained league of shadows stealth, and the raw strength of his bloodline. he doesn't bother hiding his approach - he sees the flutter of the cape and that tells him he'd better get this over with now, rather than continuing to drag it out.

but he stands on the opposing side. silent. watching. waiting to see how this bruce will react to his presence. his existence. ]
