hello!!!

i'm looking for a superhero, they left their mask behind in an alleyway and i'm sure they're missing it!! it looks really cool and i swear i've seen it around before??

please help me find it's owner, i'd hate for someone unsavory to get their hands on it :(

( if it's going to be like that, jason's gonna reach across the table to try and take kyle's espresso. because he can. )

( the grin is back, his moment of vulnerability over. jason can go back to that later when he isn't dicking around with kyle. )

I don't have my gear ( mostly. ) so you'd better bully me gently.

[ he never really got into the machismo stuff. ]

( he's landed punches before, which clearly is good enough to count for something. there's no real need to plot out how to take out kyle but he's betting, somewhere, bruce has a well-mapped and excessively thought over 'how to take out a lantern in case of emergencies or if/when hal really pisses him off' plan jotted down somewhere.

but jason isn't bruce and at some point they're going to devolve into punching and throwing insults and he'd put his chances of winning at less than 5%. which isn't zero, fuck off kyle. )

Maybe I've got secrets, ( who doesn't. ) a plan. Maybe I want you to underestimate me so I can pull out my secret weapon.

[ bruce certainly had plans. however, kyle has seen those plans. it was a Whole Big Thing when ra's al ghul stole and used them against the justice league. not that it wouldn't surprise him that bruce would create new ones. it's not something he holds against batman.

kyle snorts. ]

And you're doing a great job of selling it.

Also all part of my plan.

( he's going to have to follow kyle around central city. figure out what he gets up to in his down time. find just the right way to ruin it. maybe he's got some idiot baby-faced other jason waltzing around being an idiot surrounded by his hoard of stalkers, but does he have the fun of a pseudo-nemesis? at least a few actual enemies, but those don't come with the fun of fucking someone over just because it sounds like a good time.

I can't even tell you the amount of time's I've taken a hit to the head and woken up somewhere else entirely.

I'm surprised I haven't fractured my skull more, but, ( nodding his head towards the door leading out of the coffee shop. ) I'm not gonna jump you, but I'm not sticking 'round here either. Walk with me? Or you can ride pillion.

[ kyle squints at him for a moment, gauging that before nodding. ]

( if he wanted to get a hit in that badly, he'd do it in here where kyle's less likely to pull out his shiny ring powers. jason's still debating going for it, if only for the satisfaction of breaking his stupid nose.

but he throws the empty coffee cup away outside the door and shoves that hand into his pocket, too. uses the toe of his boot to kick open the door.

so no mutilation attempts just yet. but he will lead kyle down into a nearby alley, because dark alleys are the only good place to store shit. )

Sign with the Alliance yet?

[ kyle shakes his head. ]

No and I'll probably keep it that way. It's back to the poor artist life for me.

Poor baby. ( snorting as he stops a few steps away from a very modded bike. ) You gonna be able to afford an apartment? Or is that ring gonna make you one?

[ kyle gives the bike a flat look before glancing back at jason. ]

No, I made sure to use that credit card fully before giving it back. Covered my down payments and everything.

[reneger]

Mooching off the Alliance even if you won't sign with them. Sounds fair. Even if that leaves all your shit where they can track it down.

( another few steps forward, and he swings his leg over the bike to get himself comfortable on it. )
