So out of curiosity is there like a mystical equivalent of an IP tracker for magic-related things?

Yeah well magic's not really my friend's forte unfortunately. But say there's like some leftover traces? Residual power or...whatever, is there a specific term for that? Not the main point though.

alternatively, there are charms you can use to track magical signatures

Charms, huh? How's that work? I'm assuming it'd need to be primed with a sample or something.

something they used their magic on is usually good enough
as long as it isn't like a person or whatever

there's like a whole complex system with diagrams involved but tbh i explained it exactly once which was way too many times

I'm fascinated that there's a technical application. Maybe if I knew something like that existed, it would be easier to understand how magic works.

...but I guess that'd also depend on this different world-business.

Live demonstrations are more preferable anyway. I have some preparations to make, but once I've got that done, I'll contact you to set up a meeting.
