my name is willa and i want you all to know what if you are injured and need a hand, you're free to call me instead of 911. i know it's wonderful to have a hot firefighter scoop you up and whisk you to an ambulance, but i'm a healer so i can also do that.

i probs cannot pick you up, actually and there are some caveats. i can and will heal a paper cut, but some things should be dealt with on your own i think. it's not noble to suffer but i don't want to put band-aid out of business, they will sue me. so use your best judgement.

second, much like the genie of the lamp, i can't bring people back from the dead. i'm not jesus. but a cut, a dismemberment, a stabbing, a shark bite, or perhaps you were gored by a minotaur because you didn't knock before going to the center of the maze. i'm you girl, that's me, your man in havana. [ included here is her phone number if anyone wants to TEXT HER instead of interacting with the post and just in case. ]

thirdly, does anyone remember 2001's ben foster vehicle get over it? bc i have the big red theme song stuck in my head battling with vitamin c's cover of captain & tennille's love will keep us together.

So we need to break it.

( which is really not ideal; the last time oliver went without it, he was moments away from--whatever's going to happen to him without it. becoming more corrupted, losing oliver and instead being the thing the tether is holding back. he sucks in his lower lip, looks up over her head for a moment, before he's slouching back into his chair and offering a little nod of his head.

Fine, yeah. Give me a few weeks? I've got shit to prep before my line gets all fucky.

( chances are high this'll fuck up what access to his magic he does still have. prepping a few charms in advance just in case he needs them later isn't a shit idea. )

Of course. My death sentence has been stayed so I have plenty of time at my disposal suddenly.

[ it's weird, the idea of a nebulous future because lark isn't here to kill her and her friends, but it's beginning to grow on her. ]

And if you change your mind that's okay, too. [ she shrugs, sipping her drink again. ] I think this is one of those rare times that doing nothing is just as viable an option as doing anything else.

The guy I'm leeching off of currently, his magic and mine isn't compatible at all. Like, the rules are different between our magics, but his is--on the opposite spectrum of mine. Which means mine's extra fucked now.

( part of the reason why he wants to fix himself. being undead isn't the worst, being connected to theo, while he appreciates theo saving him from dying, isn't ideal. )

So like, I need it to be fixed.

[ her forehead wrinkles, humming around her straw. she suspects it's theo, but she can't figure what is the opposite of green, nature magic. perhaps... metal? polina can control electricity and sometimes that includes conductive metals but polina isn't here to help anyway, because willa is alone. ]

Yes, that doesn't sound ideal.

It's not his fault, I just don't like it.

( he and pierce hadn't been even-matched either, but pierce was a powerhouse in his own right, and he'd been the one who had brought oliver back to life--so oliver was tied to him regardless. and while pierce isn't a mechanic witch, he's also closer than theo is. rangor worked well, because his magic feels demonic, oliver's secondary plane.

but being alive is first and foremost, most important. he's alive. )

I'm surviving, but I'm not like, thriving, and this place didn't bring most of my shit, so I have to rebuild.

That makes sense. Well, whenever you'd like to try, I don't actually have a lot going on.
