Secondly, Thor has left this place. His belongings, however, are still here. I have in my possession:
- Some red cloaks
- A gaming console with a Fortnite subscription claimed
- A grill
- A charm bracelet
- A book on how to raise goats

You can come claim these at the Sunset Falls park. You have half an hour before I set them on fire. Good day.

[ as stated, loki is in the middle of the park with a whole bunch of stuff piled up. he seems to be fiddling with something, though he quickly tucks it away when someone arrives. ]

[ Angela is there. She's probably been there for a while, standing a fair distance away, letting Loki have his moment of solitary contemplation. Eventually, though, she does approach. When she does, she says no words of greeting, nor does she inquire about what it was Loki hastily tucked away.

She just nods, and places a hand on Loki's shoulder. ]

[ there is a sour taste in his mouth, but to his credit, he does not shrug off her hand. he had expected an ending. he was not a fool. when it came down to it, he would pick jane foster.

loki was just. not enough. ]

[ For a long moment, they stand, siblings who are not siblings, looking at the pile of a departed sibling's belongings.

Finally, Angela speaks. ]

When we find a way to leave this world for good, you will be with him again.

[ that startles an abruptly bitter laugh from him. ]

No, we can't. And I won't bother. I'm done.

[ A briefly raised eyebrow at the laugh, but she's not buying it. ]

If you were done, you would have lit the pyre already.

[When he sees the post, Sephiroth does not bother to respond. He just heads for the park. Thor leaving is nothing to be taken lightly.

...but he's also never really understood their relationship. What does he say in this situation? Anything?]

[ loki didn't respond for a long moment before he glances at sephiroth. ]

You didn't need to be. It's — This is nothing.

There's nothing to be shared. I'm going to burn it all away. Everything.

Just gonna ask, any chance we could use the cloaks in the costume department? If the material's any good they could be turned into something else.

You will need to check with the department, but so long as they're not needed or in use, it should be fine.

Better than burning? I mean, I have to imagine it's going to be good material. Or you could send it over to props. I was doing a 'get to know a prop master' thing the other day for the website, and there was talk about how they need to make some really over the top fancy looking cushions, and were discussing what sorta fabric to get.

[ Stephen comes across this a couple of hours after he's sure a pile of ash was left in a patch somewhere in the park. It's too late to claim anything just to save it from the fire of fresh emotion, and it's likely just as well he wasn't in time to wade into Loki's space while the loss was still raw enough to warrant a burning.

But he does know about Loki's fate. Understands at least to some extent, with that in mind, why this loss might cut deeper than others.

It takes some deliberation, but ultimately, a text: ]

It was a long time coming. I was merely fooling myself.

We all hope for things to last that we can't guarantee. That doesn't make fools of us.

Good. They were doing well last I knew.

[ And he can't tell whether that's wrapped up in the rest of it, not sure what it is exactly that had left Loki ready to burn it all away, so he doesn't offer anything more in answer. Unwilling to add fuel where it doesn't need to be. ]
