Just got dumped here. Doing research.

still doesn't explain the piece missing from the top of her head. she's a kid. she needs a bike helmet at least!

She's one of the fastest teens alive in her world. She really doesn't need to worry that much about head protection when nobody's going to land a hit.

see, to me, that's just asking for it to happen. like, that's tempting the fates. If she goes up against someone super OP and they find a way to nullify her powers or make them useless then there's going to be the opportunity to hit her in the head.

also, kids fall all the time and hit their heads on stuff they shouldn't, so like... she's at more risk because she's a kid?

She doesn't ever go out alone, either. It's usually a family thing.

I'm just saying. I've seen a kid trip and fall on flat pavement and smash their tiny nose in on the concrete. not a lot of actual danger, but kids aren't very coordinated the faster they go. I'd be too worried to let one out in costume doing super hero things

Flash family powers don't work like that. The faster you go, the more time you have to react. I read it in the museum documentation once.
