Is there a way to suppress or remove our powers? Like a device or magic?

Can someone just turn me into a normal human?

May I ask, is light bad?

that depends who you ask
ravkans waited a long time for someone with this power
it could save us
which means anyone who hates ravka is threatened that i exist

i don't know what they're doing now

it's hard to explain
some people here feel about metas the same way that the fjerdans and shu do about grisha
they don't like metas just because we're metas
our power threatens them
i think about that a lot.

[ is she making sense? she had embraced her identity, risk and all, but it's the danger that makes her uneasy. ]

i mean they send metas to a special school for a reason
it's not just to keep other people safe from us
we're targets

But aren't they targets as well?

I mean, they have villains here. A guild for villains too.

not every terrible thing in this world was done by a meta.
have you heard of world war 2?
we're learning about it in history right now.

I didn't mean they are to blame for everything.

What I meant is that people are scared of powers and abilities because they feel like they are not able to protect themselves. They feel like they will be hurt and probably have. To them it's black and white, right and wrong, and that is it.

and what i mean is that there are all kinds of things in the world people can't protect themselves from.
people don't hate landslides and war the way they hate us.

[ Kaneki just finds it a little bit different being hated because she makes light, while he can be hated because... he eats people. kaneki doesn't want to argue that her powers are easier than his - although he certainly would prefer not to eat people. ]

Hopefully you can choose not to create light. If it's something you hate, I hope you don't have to use it and you can hide it.

but i don't want to hate it and hide it.
other people don't have to hate and hide what they are.
what i can do is amazing.
i should be happy when i do it.
i'm good at drawing too. and i like doing it and i like when people tell me that something i made is good.
this shouldn't be different.

Because powers and how they are handled is something that upsets you.

how people without powers respond to people with them upsets me
how you feel about your own isn't my business
