Notes: Courtesy of David, this video is posted under a variety of anonymous throwaway accounts that are nigh-impossible to track, on basically every platform you can name. WOM.bat simply has a URL where the video can be downloaded, shared in the Fantastic Sucks board.

[The camera is focused on a man people may recognize from Fantastic's June announcement about a hypnotist manipulating Starfallen into acting as villains without their knowledge: the Fixer. While he looks a little worse for wear after his time in hiding, he isn't sporting any injuries beyond a few minor bruises.

Those asking him questions are off-camera, their voices altered.

After the full interrogation, a certain narrative becomes clear:

Fantastic hired the Fixer. They intentionally targeted Starfallen, using them to carry out staged attacks for Fantastic to thwart. This enabled him to elevate his image and dethrone Atomight from the Alliance. Once he achieved this goal, Fantastic threw the Fixer under the bus (which the Fixer seems especially and genuinely bitter about).

While this may not be surprising to a lot of people, they didn't have the proof before, and it makes Fantastic's hypocrisy for claiming to be working towards the safety of Starfallen excedingly clear.]

"Is it wrong," David postulates while sipping on a very 'Irished up' coffee, "to suggest that we make a list of all of the people this guy took control of, rig up a vote system, and let you all choose just how he's punished?"

Because David's feeling like they need a new definition of collective punishment. This had all be so fucked up. And he was more than a little annoyed about that whole record store interaction he'd had to go through to help find this guy. The clubs hadn't been so bad, but that girl at the record store had a stupidly sharp eye.

"You mean, the four of us he used in this plot? I suppose everyone deserves their say, but I would hate for it to result in a tie vote."

Sephiroth has been... very restrained in how little violence he's inflicted on the Fixer thus far. But what the man did was a violation, and whatever they promised him, Sephiroth isn't keen on ever letting that go.

"Well, we can choose a tie-breaker voter."

David would choose Loki actually. Because he has a way he'd want this to go.

"...I suppose that would be either you or Loki, considering your involvement."

He eyes David, because he isn't entirely sure how he'd vote on this one. He has more of those pesky morals, but he's also expressed a great deal of anger when it comes to certain crimes.

"I would think Loki would be suitable," David says with a little smirk. Surely Sephiroth gets the implication there.

Sephiroth smiles faintly in response. "Well then, I'm glad we're in agreement."

"He hurt a lot of people I care about," David says with a tight smile. "And put us all at risk. So yeah, we're in agreement."

"You know the others as well?" Sephiroth wonders. "Or are you referring to his role in Fantastic's plans?"

"I'm pretty sure I know who attacked the HQ, and she's a friend. SO yes, I'm very mad."

And Doreen wouldn't approve of his decision, but he didn't care.

Sephiroth nods. "There are consequences for his actions, and precious little in the way of mitigating circumstances. He did this to us for money."

Yeah, he did. People were scummy.

"Capitalism is atrocious," he says brightly, because he's trying to hold back his absolute fury.

He blinks at that statement, and then scoffs faintly.

"Yes. I suppose it is."

Hey, hadn't capitalism led to just about everything Sephiroth had been through? David of course had a lot of other things wrong in his world, but he was okay with what he was saying here.

"As much as I'm anti 'us-versus-them' mentality, this place really has sold us a bill of goods hasn't it?"

Sure, but Sephiroth has never really been involved with discussions of capitalism, much less critical ones.

"If I take your meaning... I didn't really have faith in it to begin with."

"Yeah, just from the small glimpses I had into ShinRa financials, I can't blame you."

Because there was nothing okay about how they worked. They had jumped straight to the latest stage capitalism. President Shinra Fiddled and all that.

"Hm. There are aspects of the guilds that have always smacked of the same. The need to trot out their members for good publicity. Insisting that what they do is for the public good, and the insinuation that those like us have no place outside of it."

"Yeah, that part made me disgusted too. I did my best to make sure I was always presenting with my actual company instead," David said. But it wasn't flawless.

"We're not..."

He curses. "I hate being a commodity. I want to be a person first!"

"I only want to be a person."

Yeah, that's fair. Really fair. It's hard to argue against.

"You've been doing well here."

Sephiroth pauses. It strikes him as an odd thing to hear, but it isn't wrong.

"...I suppose I have."

"And that's why I'm glad your'e here and I know you," he says with a smile. "Now, I'll leave you for the other planners."

Sephiroth isn't fully sure he understands that, but he nods slowly, letting David go.

David waves and moves off to met with some others to plan.
