Notes: yes, that profile photo absolutely is the "you didn't upload a pic" default placeholder image and you should absolutely make fun of him for it
Looking for anyone out there with information on people who have experience with advanced, robotics-adjacent prosthetics. Specifically maintenance and repair, not design. Discretion required.
[ooc: that's it that's the post please feel free to harass the hell out of Bucky/hit me up if you prefer to harass him in person and we'll work something out. Also please threadhop to your heart's content on anything not marked private]

[ And then, within five minutes which is probably way, way too fast, there's a knock on the door. When Bucky answers, there's a scruffy looking man standing there in simple, everyday clothing. He nods, raises a hand in greeting. When he speaks, it's definitely Drift's voice. ]
Oh good, found you. Can I come in?
no subject
And who is this scruffy guy anyway. It's Drift's voice, but. Not a giant transforming car.]
Uh yeah, sure. Neat trick.

[ Drift steps inside and shuts the door behind him. Yep, this sure is a hotel room! He gestures vaguely towards the bed or a chair something. ]
What do you have going on?
no subject
[It's a Very Standard Hotel Room. Exciting, right? But it's totally got the two armchairs in the corner thing, so Bucky drops into one of them.]
Artificial to the shoulder. [A little further than the shoulder joint but. Details.] Nothing's broken, hoping it stays that way.

[ Drift follows across the small room and leans over Bucky as he begins to explain his arm. ]
Obviously it's not gonna be the same as the technology I'm familiar with, but... let me take a look.
[ He runs his holographic fingers along the metal, frowns. ]
Does it open up? Like... I assume there are servos and actuators and stuff inside?
no subject
Yeah. [A funny expression crosses his face, something in the neighborhood of uncomfortable, but Bucky reaches over and pries up one of the plates on the bicep. Is the one that had been most recently damaged and repaired; he remembered most of that. As to what's inside? Servos, actuators, gears, cabling, a mess of mechanical and electrical components that are easy beyond my ability to describe but hey, I never get to use this icon.] That help?

[ Drift leans over and peers into the interior with a low sound of interest, peers at the components. ]
I can definitely see some similarities. It's not going to be entirely the same because there's no sentio metallico involved here but I think that I might be able to help with repairs, if there are tools. Wouldn't be anything like a proper doctor but I could at least make sure it keeps functioning to some degree.

[Read: torture.]
Functional is all it needs to be. I figured it was smarter to find potential repair assistance now, rather than if I actually need repairs.

[ He pokes and prods a little further, mostly just giving himself a look at the inner workings. ]
Good thinking, honestly. I'd hate to get messed up and then have to figure out who I can ask for help after the fact.
[ He's done it before. It sucks! ]
