Literally! Well, as close as you can get without the Earth being engulfed in burning plasma. That would be bad.

I'm Amaterasu. Normally I'd have an envoy for this sort of thing, but he's not here so we'll have to make due. Probably for the best, he can be something of an acquired taste.

They tried. I wasn't very interested.

[Honestly, she was a little surprised they even bothered considering she was a wolf. It hadn't stopped her from walking off halfway through, though.]

Perhaps they thought if one deity could be convinced, another would be equally amenable. But most Starfallen steer clear of those entanglements altogether, even if it makes things harder.
