What's an angel?

I mean, I looked it up, and it looks like it's some kind of religious thing? But the information doesn't always match, and people keep asking me if I am one, so...I don't know.

Well, for what it's worth, one of them rebelled against God so hard he became the primary antagonist of the entire religion.

Oh, uh... okay. That one was named Lucifer. Supposedly he was one of God's top angels, but he got a little too proud and decided he should be equal to God, so Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and down into Hell.

Which is supposed to be a place of eternal torment, but now he's the king down there, so who really won?

So is God an actual god or just someone people worship? Are they a good person, I guess?

[After Effiom, Huvrye has his doubts about anyone who'd call themselves a god. Plus, this whole Lucifer thing sounds like an overreaction - like someone who's afraid of losing their position of power.]

I don't... actually know. People don't really interact with Him?

He's supposed to be loving and forgiving, but for the past two thousand years people have been invoking His name to justify a lot of killing.

It's generally assumed that you're never going to see or speak to Him unless you're part of the clergy. And it's the clergy who interpret God's will to the rest of us, which is awfully convenient.

I guess the big thing about it is you're not supposed to acknowledge anyone else as God but him. But... where I come from at least, we got gods running around everywhere.
