Starfallen or Skyfallen. I'm not sure on the specifics of the distinction or which is correct. I was introduced to the idea as 'metas' but there are a dozen words I've heard so far.

If a pattern can be found, it may help identify how to reverse this. I'll see if my knowledge of spells and arrays will help, but without any consistency I'm not confident of results.

They've been coming up with some new fantastic terms. [The distinction is certainly useful, but he's always just called them off-worlders. Basic.] I'm not seeing any clear patterns within our group. There's people who were and weren't affected in the same location, and a person's magical abilities don't seem to factor in...

[Thinking through this out loud - he could have imagined a scenario where it hit people without magic, who were thus vulnerable, but that's obviously not the case.]

Maybe it has to do with their super power or age when effected? Or maybe the powers they were granted upon arrival - if any - have an impact. Either an influence to make it more significant or one to make it less?

That could be. We'd need more data points.

It will be difficult to get when many of those effected may not be obviously tied to their otherwise known identities. I will look into curse reversals and see if they have any effect.
