I was actually really hoping to be wrong about that. Y'know, just this one time.

But hey, if Loki did it, then that just means it's magic, right? There are like, at least five other super mega powerful magic users who'll probably know how to undo it. Right?

Yes, we should be able to get it reversed. It'll be fine.

[Not that he himself can do much about it. Otto's largely just running interference until an actual magic user gets around to it, he figures. Oh, well - it's been science-related chaos often enough too.]

I don't think he meant it maliciously. I don't know what he was thinking.

Okay. Cool. At least there's that.

[Peter can't really do a damn thing about it either. Maybe he'll try talking to Loki.]

I mean- He's a kid. Kind of. Like- He always talks about how adults are boring. Maybe he just wanted to hang out with more people his age.

I guess that makes sense, but it's an insane way to go about it.

[But we all know that. Still, Otto can feel a little bad for the kid, when you put it like that.]

Think he'll fix it without any fuss?

Well, he is a Loki.

[He means that in the... best possible way.]

He might? We can try explaining to him that it's not gonna get him what he wants... But it also seems like something he might eventually get bored with.

It doesn't sound like it turned out the way he'd hoped.

[This isn't exactly a fun kid's party.]

To put it lightly? Yep. Definitely sounds that way.

And on the bright side, it clearly didn't hit everyone!

Thank god for that. If I turn into a teenager, you lock me in the apartment and take my phone.

[It's nothing terrible! He's just seeing a lot of CRINGE BEHAVIOR out here and doesn't want to contribute!]

No, the worst you might have to deal with is me running off to New York.

[Something about that little sentiment... Just kind of makes Peter smile. Just a little bit.]

Maybe the fact that New York doesn't really exist here will deter Young Otto. You'd have to stop and ask, and that's when we swoop in and squirrel you off someplace safe.

I grew up in Schenectady, you know. No idea what's in that area, in this world...

[It's funny, actually, that he never looked it up.]

At least it might get rid of my back problems for a little while. I wouldn't mind that. [He idly pushes what seems to be an offended actuator claw away.]

[BLINK.] ...Shh... Shenn... Uh. Gesundheit? [Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway...] Oooh, you'd be taking a literal load off. Though... [Since he noticed that offended gesture there-] I don't think they would enjoy that very much.

They don't get a vote. [He grouses, but it's lighter than he often is when discussing the actuators.] Maybe they'd turn back into blueprints.

Well hey, anything's possible?

[He shrugs a shoulder, as if he's apologizing to the actuators. Which is clearly a very normal thing to do.]

Maybe we just count our small blessings this time. Honestly I'm kinda shocked I didn't get hit with this particular weirdness.

Thank god for that. From what I'm hearing about how younger people were affected, you could have ended up a toddler.

[Which...at least he probably wouldn't recognize Otto as the Evil Doctor Octopus then, but it sounds sort of weird and awful for everyone involved!]

Gasp! Then you really would've become "Uncle Otto" to me.

[Apparently this is hilarious. But also kind of adorable. Either way, Peter is still smiling about it.]

[Suddenly, Otto remembers the time Doreen mentioned that the other version of him tried to marry Peter's aunt! He resolves to never share this knowledge! Divorced from that, it is sort of a funny notion.]

What's that make the other Peter?

[Don't worry, Otto. Weirder things have happened in the Marvel universes.] My super cool older brother, obviously.

Oh, of course. Peter and Peter - at least it's easy to remember.

Harder to call one of us down when we get in trouble, though. Or at least a little more awkward.

[Otto chuckles. Spider-Man (men?) in trouble with him, imagine that.]
