Display Name: Tim Drake
Notes: During the age swap event
[ There’s a spikey-haired child who has clearly already discovered Dep Gel. He’s sitting in a front of a grungy brick wall with badly chipping paint that shows the strata of different paint layers. Looks like an alley, with a thin line of corrugated metal just visible behind the boy.
Clever eyes would recognize that he’s sitting on the closed lid of a dumpster. It doesn’t look like a place for a boy of somewhere between 8 and a very small 10. ]
My name’s Tim Drake, and I’m in Central City. I’m not supposed to be.
I hope I’ve gotten this working. I guess it’s supposed to be mine? The account has my name, but that’s not right. You aren’t supposed to use real information on social media, especially when you’re a kid, because it can lead to abductions.
[ Tim glances around, like he’s expecting someone to come bursting in now that he’s said that outloud. ]
And I think I’ve been abducted?
[ He picks at t-shirt and leather jacket that he’s absolutely swimming in. ]
They changed my clothes.
[ Frowning, he looks confused at that, and as if he’s run out of things to say here. ]
You’re not supposed to give personal details online. I did, but I think the rules are different when you’ve been kidnapped? I’m not going to say my parents names or address, but I can’t walk home.

Uh, hi, Tim. I don't know if you recognize me, but I know you. But you didn't exactly get abducted. At least not in the bad guys looking for profit way. Maybe I can help?
Just don't bother looking for the Flash. This world's Central doesn't have one.

[ He looks too old for middle school, and he’s not from Tim’s gaming group. ]
What do you mean, this world? What happened to the Flash?
no subject
You know about the multiverse, right? Well, this is a different world. One where Central City is in Michigan for some insane reason.
no subject
But it’s - if I’m in this universe, doesn’t that mean I could rip apart or did I displace some other Tim? Is he okay? Why is it in Michigan?

[Her voice is barely audible, and muffled by the thumb in her mouth.]
They'll come find us.
[A very, very long pause. She seems to be groping for the words, like she's forgotten how to put them in order.]
Where'd you say you are?
[She's never heard of Central City, and that really isn't helping.]
no subject
Who’s going to come find us? Did you see someone?
I’m in Central City. I think it’s in Missouri.
no subject
Dad. Found me before. He'll find me again.
Your dad too. Right?
[Her voice cracks as she says it, clearly not believing it.]
no subject
[ His dad will call the police or pay the ransom, but Tim thinks that his father’s search would be just a quick drive around the neighborhood except… ]
He’s in South America.

[ Admittedly, he has the beginnings of a negative view about the police. The Gotham Globe often suggests Gotham City Police Department has corruption issues. ]
Are the police …?
[ It’s too weird of a question for him to finish. He probably just went to some Take a Bite Outta Crime school safety assembly. ]

I don’t want my parents to have to fly home; I just need to get back home.

They got me, too.
Whoever the bastards are, I'll get them. And I'll hurt 'em real good.
Like this icon was waiting for you.
I like your username.

Who and who?
Forget the police.
Cops eat shit.
( at least some things about eddie haven't changed, even if they could do with a little polishing. )
We'll look out for each other without them.

[ Duh. ]
They’re awesome! And the police are okay most of the time, I think.

Do you know where you are? Are you in a sort of divey apartment?

I live in a divey apartment building, and I have a Tim Drake as a neighbor. Maybe you switched places with him, in a sort of weird case of mistaken identity?

he smiles, warm and sunny--though with a worried edge if you know what to look for--and waves at the camera. ]
Hi, Tim. I'm Billy--or Wiccan if you want to get professional--and I know the other you, too. I saw that you left the apartment-- [ or wherever he was. ] --and I just.. wanted to make sure you're safe. Are you somewhere safe? You don't have to tell me where if you're not comfortable with that, of course, but if I can help, I'd like to.
no subject
And he said he goes by Wiccan, if they wanted to be professional, and that means he’s something, right? Tim hasn’t heard of a hero or a villain named Wiccan. ]
Is Wiccan your last name, sir? It’s not a common name, but -
[ Oh no, he shouldn’t call attention to it on this. ]
I don’t know what I was trying to ask. I don’t think anybody’s after me, but I don’t know how I’m going to New Jersey before the buses stop running.
[ Ah, the big city rules to curfew breaking: always be in walking distance before public trans shuts down. ]
no subject
You don't have to call me 'sir' if you don't want to, Billy's fine. And Wiccan was my code name back when I was in the crimefighting scene. I still use it sometimes, but I'm sort of semi-officially retired. [ all his crimefighting these days (at home) is in space, and it's against enemies of the state. ]
I-- [ yikes. okay, how are you going to address this, billy? ] Are you trying to go home, Tim?

After taking a second to compose herself, and to find an appropriately Robin-y spot (an obvious rooftop, but well lit), she opens up the video.]
Hi, Tim. I'm probably not the Robin you're used to, but I know a little about what's happening, it's just going to sound a little crazy.
no subject
Most people don’t even know what Robin looks like, so he doesn’t say “but you’re a girl.” ]
Okay. Is it going to be a little crazy or breaking news interrupting cartoons crazy?
no subject
[That's a very good question, and of course it's exactly what Tim would ask.
It does reassure her that even though he's younger, she doesn't necessarily need to handle him with kid gloves. He's always been quick and far too mature for his age.]
Closer to breaking news crazy but not in a dangerous way. This place is a lot like Gotham, it's safe enough if you know to keep your head down, and we weren't dragged here by a supervillain or kidnappers, it was more of a... natural disaster sorta deal, I guess?
[She's so good at explaining things.
Mostly she's trying to draw the line between a reasonable explanation and not dumping too much on him all at once.]
