ive never actually been outside new york before so im wondering
what do people even do for fun in michigan?
stand at the bank of lake huron and yell insults at canada?
ive done some searching and this universe doesn't even have jupiter jim!! which obviously makes it inferior to my own universe
u guys are missing some prime cinema
[He won't even start on the lack of Lou Jitsu movies because that's his dad and thinking about it bums him out.]
less important question: does anyone else who fell through the weird sky hole have powers that aren't working right?

And if you're looking for tourist destinations, there's always Hell, or I heard the cabin from Evil Dead is somewhere I'm Michigan. Wait a sec...
[For a moment he goes quiet, looking up where in Michigan it's supposed to be.]
What, it's in Tennessee!? I've been lied to!...Oh hey, the bull shark thing was also a lie, it's official, this state sucks.
voice back!
[No bull sharks, no spooky cabin... what is even the point?]
These Alliance guys offered to leave me in Kansas but that has to be even worse. I'm not buying a little dog and living on a farm.

[There's a sudden mock gasp.]
You mean you don't want to live smake in the middle of tornado alley? But you'll miss out on all the wheat fields and oil wells.
no subject
[A laugh.]
Oh yeah, what was I thinking? How could I turn down such a wealth of culture and entertainment.
no subject
[That gets a laugh back.]
Eh, Kansas isn't actually all that bad. Boring, but there's worse places on earth. After all, Florida still exists.
no subject
Florida, yeah, not so much. We just send the people we want to be alligator food down there.
no subject
A turtle after his own heart. There's a temptation to joke that he knew someone he'd like to send down there but no...no, Gar had been trying to be better with him. The least he could do is not talk shit about the guy behind his back. But man it's hard not to when that's the exact kind of threat they would casually throw back and forth to each other.]
That's a good one! Might borrow that if I ever get back home.
[In the case Gar decided to go back to throwing around half-joking threats when the "you almost died for real" pity wears off. Should probably keep that retort arsenal stocked.]
You ever been outside of New York before?
no subject
It's free to take!
[He knows all about joking death threats; having three brothers will do that. That aside...]
Nope. [He doesn't count that one terrible night in New Jersey.] This has been my first time. A real whirlwind tour of the midwest.

I'll have plenty of time to do the research seeing as falling from the sky kinda freed up my whole calendar for the foreseeable future.

[He can turn it into a game, trying to figure out what is fake and what isn't.]
My schedule's pretty open too, believe it or not. So I'll have to take you up on that.
no subject
[Could be fun to see what he could get him to believe, or what wild facts he could get him to question.]
Funny coincidence that. Well, I'm up for it whenever you are. Much as I appreciate the free digs, I'm so over this hotel room already.
[He'd been taking every excuse to not have to hang out in it more then he had to. Being forced to live on his own again was dredging up some not so great memories.]
no subject
Yeah, I hear you. I've been getting some cabin fever myself.
Why don't we meet up tomorrow, then? [He'll just have to get clothes he can appropriately hide in.]
no subject
[Gives him time to do that research, and come up with some fun not so true facts.]
