It's about the chemistry. We have issues producing our own phenylalanine and other key amino acids, so finding appropriate sources is a good thing. I prefer not to eat sentients if I have other options.

Not all of the family is that picky.

It's not exactly unknown where I'm from. And it would not be pleasant for people to find out my kind tend to eat humans from another source.

Even Venom wasn't always that picky. Although they tended to mostly stick to criminals. Different Venom, though. Dylan and I aren't from the same reality, but close.

I have never eaten anyone who I could hold a conversation with. The biggest live prey I tend to go for are rats, and only the ones that are where they'll be a nuisance if they stay where they are.
