i'm not usually a social media guy, but since there are lots of new people showing up from wherever and they all seem lost, i figured i'd jump on here. i know there are probably a lot of other locals they've (you've?) talked to, but still.
hi, i'm olly. i've lived in central city my whole life, and i'm very familiar with the alliance and the society. that's because part of my powers is that i'm bad luck, which means if there's ANYONE in the city that gets taken hostage in a heist or fight or whatever, it's probably going to be me. it's been that way since i was 17, and it's probably never going to change. (you can ask anyone in the guilds, they all know.)
a couple of people have stopped me in the last month or so to ask for food recommendations and other things, so here's what i have for you:
if you have questions about other stuff around here, i'm sure if i can't help you, one or more of the other locals can.
welcome, i guess? at least until they figure out a way to get you all back home.
that's all, thanks.

a couple of people have stopped me in the last month or so to ask for food recommendations and other things, so here's what i have for you:
LOCAL FOOD:
Bun Daddy - hot dogs and hamburgers/cheeseburgers, really good and really greasy
The Top Chop Shop - bbq, ribs, steaks, a little pricey but worth it
Zelda's - pierogi, mostly, but the fillings change every day and it's cheap
Tacos First - food truck, self-explanatory, though there's more than just tacos, and they sometimes have live music
Ma's Place - italian, pizza, greek
Eden - all vegetarian and vegan, really good and reasonably priced
Froth - coffee shop near the college
Pop Tea Bar - tea, bubble tea, japanese and korean snacks
[ all the names are linked to websites or map pins for everyone's convenience. ]
if you have questions about other stuff around here, i'm sure if i can't help you, one or more of the other locals can.

ok so the top chop shop has an everything menu and a halal certified menu that's separate. i'm not sure how they keep things from cross-contamination, but i've been told it's legit.
i'm not sure about the others, my coworker didn't know. she did suggest shawarma dudes in the strip mall on market street (cheap, quick, tasty), and the oasis (excellent, pricier, sit down restaurant). i'll link both menus.
she said i could pass along her info if your friend needed to talk about other halal options in the area.

[ Definitely going to treat Kamala to a meal at The Oasis if they're both still here by the time her birthday rolls around. ]
so are you like a mutant whose superpower is shitty luck?
no subject
but yeah my power is luck in general, but it's usually bad.
[ well, there's the weird, unfortunate wish thing, but he's not spreading THAT around. ]

there's actually a mutant on Earth-616 who has luck powers, too! her name is Domino. though her luck seems to be better more often than not.

is that your reality? i get good luck sometimes, but honestly not often.

it's a long story.
what's it like growing up here? have there always been these Confluence things?

Pretty thorough food spot review, can you give a similar breakdown on the alliances?

also, some of the society are really pretty decent people, they just prefer to do their own thing and know the society will let them. plus it's a pretty sweet deal overall.
