[The video opens on a view of what appears to be one of the rooms in the Diadem, but the angle is that of a phone just left at an odd angle, probably against a pillow on the bed if the rumpled comforter is anything to go by, but it's hard to tell because the image keeps getting blocked by a black and yellow something that isn't in focus at first. After a while, it becomes clear that this is a cat, pawing and sniffing at the phone as if it isn't sure what is going on.

Finally, the cat sits back and meows, bats at the phone, and the feed ends.]

You do realize that I have no direct knowledge of this. I wasn't aware yet. Do you remember events before you you were born?

The delivery was overseen by Dr. Steven, so I know his version. He also oversaw my early rearing while Venom was not present. There are few individuals on Earth with expertise in symbiote biology.

[A pause]

I don't really recall much of that early time between visits when our parent was communing with us and that the scientists were...observing. It did not seem all that important.

Okay, you're right, weird... alien... birthing scene from from the movie Alien is my problem, not yours.

I can assure you no parts of your human anatomy were exploded in the process. We're not Xenomorphs.

By us, are you including Dylan? Or is that just Venom?

And, uh, both? All of us? Me, V, Dylan, goats, llamas, horses... and Diana. She's really cool. We're kind of staying at her place right now. We can make a room up for you.

I did mention I had a thorough upbringing, didn't I? Besides, I've been to space. Human science fiction is hilarious even when they actually know the aliens are out there.

And I don't need a room, I can always share with Dylan. He'd probably feel better knowing I'm there.

V says the same thing. Tried to show him Star Wars, but he wasn't much of a fan.

You wanna share? Yeah, that's fine. AS long as you're comfortable... Uh, you want a bed? Or... a little cat bed? Are you always like doing the cat thing..?

I usually do the "cat thing" as you put it. It's hard to get the details right to pass for human without a host for that.

But a comfortable bed would be appreciated. I can get what I need, though. Amazon takes the credit card they handed out.

Huh. Noted. And you don't bond with anyone? ...You need someone to bond with?

Yeah, no, we'll get right on that. Bed's probably the easiest thing you could ask for.

Bonding is a serious thing. The other could be left dependent or worse from the experience if not handled properly. I have bonded in the past, but currently have chosen to be as alone as any member of a hive can be.

[They just choose not to be interwoven with another being's life that intimately. It changes both participants.]
