Anyone else fall out of the sky and run down the side of a building today? I might’ve missed seeing someone worthwhile because I didn’t read the nonexistent sign telling me to stay put the entire time.

So. Guilds, flash hotel rooms, superhero social media for public outreach or whatever. Consider yourselves reached. Name’s Speed. Should I give the tour now, or wait until I hit ten thousand followers? Nah. I know.

[ There’s a jumble of frames that are barely in focus. Anyone who pauses at the right spots will catch moments of a superspeed tour of the room: Tommy dressed but in repose on the bed, pretending to drink from the minibar, showing off the full ice bucket, and of course a bathroom mirror selfie before returning to where he’s been sitting. ]

I’ll redo it every time I get a cool number of follows, a little slower each time. I get bored. I’m already bored. There’s nothing to do in this hotel except watch tv. I’m going out. In a world where you could go anywhere you want at any minute, where would you go that’s not lame?

And don’t say Paris - I’ve been there, and it’s French. Good carbs. Bad music.

[ The tone implies that Tommy thinks this is a bit harsh, but not incredibly so. Anything that can be described as a demon dimension is on the extreme side. ]

You know Elixir? Are you from his world?

Not Hell. And he's still alive. Got out eventually. I...actually don't know all the specifics, because Raven doesn't like to talk about that part of her powers. Her father was this crazy bad demon named Trigon, and she's a living gateway to his home plane. Kinda. I never really understand the magic stuff at the best of times.

[Bart doesn't really know how to explain Raven or what happened to Deathstroke. He's still not entirely sure about Jericho, either.]

No, I'm from a completely different world, but we spent time in a different nexus place not unlike this one. Although the Fates were pulling a lot of strings there, which wasn't always a good thing.

Honestly, I don't truly know if I have an Earth that I'm native to anymore. Too many crises shifting the local continuum combined with being temporally displaced by about a thousand years from the future doesn't make that easy to pin down. Typical stuff when you're part of the Flash family.

Not in this century. Let's just say I got to the point where doppler shifts were affecting the quality of light.

But no, it actually isn't set. I go as fast as I need to. Faster when there's nobody else drawing on the Speed Force.

Shouldn't that have caused a singularity? Ripped a hole in the very fabric of space and time? Pulverized every bone in your body to dust? Who do you think you are, Northstar?

There's a reason I'm the fastest Flash. Trust me, it's not it's cracked up to be.

And I wasn't affecting the light, I was moving fast enough that the relative wavelengths hitting my eye were shifted. I really hope never to have to do that again.

And I have a frictionless aura that protects me.

Speed isn't the issue for me, really. Mostly it's slowing down.

Not exactly. I was born with my speed. It's just so natural to do things at whatever speed is convenient. I had to learn to slow down.
