Which made me a surprise part of the family. Some of the other people that roll with Superman have Super names, too, like Supergirl. So it made the most sense for me to have a "Super" name, too.
Since I was younger, going with "Superboy" was the pretty obvious way to go.

To see what I mean, others have included:
-The Everlasting Night
-The Outlander
-Master of the Dead
-The Alliance Commander (no idea why this one's a favorite of my diplomatic contacts, it's not like they don't know who I am)
-Master of Dread
-The Forcewalker
Some are even longer, and considerably more difficult to use in anything but official reports. Or as part of any official formalities, though I don't expect to deal with any here.

i guess not the outlander or forcewalker those sound like proper hero names tho

There aren't many super-beings where I'm from. Just me, really. And your occasional Science-related experiment gone wrong. No registry necessary, but I'm pretty much considered a vigilante so pretty sure the state of New York would *like* me to register it, but I think they use another word where I'm from called an 'arrest' so... Yeah.
But hey, imagine my surprise when I found out could basically form a boyband of other versions of me and we all have the same very basic approach to naming concepts: we stick to walls. We're guys. Spider-Man. Makes me wonder what the Beatles had going on, let me tell you.

vigilantes are also not really accepted where im from |:
why spiderman anyway
bc like tons of things stick to walls
like geckos!

it was kinda like an exercise

There's no register so no one could stop you if you really wanted to take someone else's name, but you're running the risk of someone else giving you a new one so it stops being confusing.

how can u just take someone's powers tho????

Once I told the press who I was, the name was pretty much solidified. No registry or anything. Most heroes are pretty good at coming up with their own stuff, but we've still got two Flashes and about five Green Lanterns now. And then there's the whole Starman legacy, but there's usually only one Star person active at a time. They sort of inherit the name
Do the Green Lanterns count? They're like space cops, and that's the name of their organization.
Re: un: CaptainMarvel
BUT! wait a moment
there is already a Ms. Marvel. Maybe the older MS marvel was married to CPt. Marvel and that's why they share the same here name? OH BOY. ]
if its an organization i dont think that counts as a superhero name
how do they tell each other apart
do they have their own names? cuz then that would be their hero name right??
anyway!!!!
do u know ms marvel? bc there is someone with that name here too
and that name used to belong to another hero

No name registration, most people aren't rude enough to just steal a name someone else is using. I used to know a guy who had to change his name from Power Man to Goliath to something else because superheroes kept stealing his moniker. Kept trying to fight the superheroes for the 'right' to the name and kept losing. Poor guy.
Well, no, he's a Master of Evil now, so maybe not so poor guy. Jackass.
no subject
screaming mimi sounds really cool??
why didnt u keep it?
hmmm even villains kinda have their own names tbh
but i dont think they care about stealing each others villain names anyway
