How many of you are familiar with BOTH the concept and realities of time travel and the multiverse AND quantum physics?

I am familiar with time travel and quantum physics, though I am unsure as to what the "multiverse" refers. I am aware of the theoretical existence of alternate realities, but I believe this is my first travel to one personally.

What would you say your qualifications are, specifically?

I can't say I've actively been to another dimension than my own before I showed up in this one, either, actually. But the concepts existed in theory in my world.

Before I arrived here, I was serving as a science officer on a space vessel.

Most of my knowledge of time travel is classified, however if you tell me what you may want it for, I may be inclined to share some of it.

I'm familiar with the words, but not the definitions? Like my world has both time travellers and multiverse breaches and quantum physics exists. But like I can't tell you how.

Well usually it happens because a mad scientist was messing with something. Or created something. Or someone found a grimoire. Or a spellbook--they're different things. Or an alien artifact. Or woke up with powers they couldn't control. Or it was a solar eclipse during the summer solstice while Mercury was in Retrograde. Or someone stole something from the future that was also a time machine, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. Or a civilization was on the brink of collapse and their scientists created a breach as a last act of desperation. Or someone touched a cursed artifact in an ancient temple on a Tuesday during a thunderstorm while Jupiter was rising.

Physics is just sort of always there, except for when people have powers that can give it the middle finger.

this might not be helpful bc it's magic not science, but there's a guy here named Loki who seems to know a lot about the multiverse. he even says he can do a spell to tell you what universe you came from.

a bad alt future
and ive been to alternate dimensions
and my highschool teachers were from alternate worlds and timelines
well not like all of them
but at least two

Both. Either. I don't care, I just don't need to waste my time with people who don't understand the concepts at least on a theoretical level. I'm not trying to teach Quantum Physics 101, here.

the multiverse is the only one i dont know on a scientific theoretical level bc its really new that we even realised it EXISTS back home
actually idk how many science type people even realise it yet and theres probably theory for it that is just theory? but I've had personal up close experience with it before coming here either way
the other stuff i guess its a little of both but what are you trying to do? get home?

i only have two out of three.

as in, have been at the fanciful and uncaring whims of an infinitely annoying multiverse, but have no clue how it works

but if you ever see a really know-it-all-ey green guy show up and he's not trying to kill us all and stick cities in tiny bottles, he can probably help you out

only half joking. there are some folks from home that apparently are here, so you might get lucky at some point. (tbf we'd all get lucky, bc i'm pretty sure brainy'd have us back home in the space of a week.) so keep an eye out.

And since you've got a bunch of people who think seeing something happen means they know how it works. I know the actual theory.

Your first step is figuring out what this place would be classified as. Not all universes are created equal, this could be a localised offshoot for example.

Then you gotta figure out your universe's which is a little bit harder if you don't already know.

Once you know that you can look into devising a method of travel between the two, but the multiverse is a big place. An infinite number of universes for an infinite number of possibilities. You need enough data points to pinpoint yours without getting it mixed up with another place where everything happened the same, except you woke up on the other side of the bed one morning.
