Here's a question that's probably going to sound completely bazonkers, but I think I need to get it out there.

Has anyone met people here who know A Version of You from their corner of the multiverse?
Alternately, have you met Another Version of You since showing up here during a confluence?

Okay turns out I lied It's multiple questions now, but they're related.

I'm just trying to gauge how crazy things can get around here and how confused/freaked out any of us should be.

I wonder if they have that lightgun one with the foot pedals??? that one is cool.

Ohhhh I love that one. It's been forever since I played it.

Right? So wanna check out the mall with me? Better than sitting around in the hotel watching TV, right?

[ Jaime makes his way down to the lobby and hovers awkwardly, waiting to try and spot Peter. He's used to having a civilian identity, but he feels weirdly naked without the armor in this parallel world. Who knows what's gonna hit him and when? ]

[Peter is in much the same boat. His suit isn't even armor; it's just tights, and honestly he's still wearing them under all his layers of civilian clothes. He's probably not hard to spot, stepping into the lobby and looking around very obviously for this new friend he's made. And even when he finds him the approach is a tiny bit awkward, almost shy.]

Hi. I can't remember if we actually, y'know, introduced ourselves.

[ The other teenager he'd been chatting to on the app wanders up and--oh. That is a whole Spider-Man right there, according to Khaji Da. Which... kinda tracks based on the build but Jaime probably wouldn't have guessed it if it weren't for the Scarab. There's a low sound of thought from the back of his throat, then he smiles and sticks his hand out to shake. ]

Oh, not technically, no. Though I think we met earlier. I'm Jaime.

[ He cracks a small smile and lowers his voice. ]

Bug buddies, yeah?

[He smiles, meeting him for that handshake--

And then freezes. His brain just grinds down to a halt.]

...What?

[Bug buddies. Bug buddies? Oh, my God.]

Are you... How did you...??? What??

It's complicated. I can explain while we walk?

[ He gestures with one hand towards the exit of the hotel. ]

I'm not telling anyone, promise.

[He's still kind of... staring with huge, wide eyes. But he does nod, and he starts walking toward the exit.] So-- So are you psychic? Uh- telepathic? Whatever the best word for it is??

Nope. That's the Scarab's job. Kinda.

[ This is always complicated. ]

Little buddy I have who gives me my powers and hangs out on my spine. He can track people by DNA.

[...Yeah, that wide-eyed stare is not going away any time soon. His feet are just on autopilot.]

It- It lives on your spine?!

Wait wait- What exactly are your powers??

Uh, the armor you saw earlier? Lets me fly, be super strong, super fast. I can form all kinds of weapons out of the armor. Tons of fancy sensors. Can hide in between dimensions...

[ Man he thought other superheroes would take this in stride better. ]

[This particular brand of Spider-Man has only been doing the superhero gig for about a year. And everyone is usually older than him, unless they're with the X-Men. And he's just neurotic enough that most things get a pretty strong reaction out of him. It's definitely A Problem to Work On.]

Wow. Wow. That- Man, that's so much cooler than mine.

I mean, being able to stick to walls and stuff is pretty awesome, man.

[ Jaime is very aware of how stupidly over-tuned his powers are for the stuff he usually deals with. ]

You can hide between dimensions.
