So... A few things I've been sitting on.

First up, Who here comes from a world where superpowers are a totally normal thing, and who here knows the hero team, uh... [ a pause as he realizes that he should've probably decided on a team before opening up this post. ] "Avengers" and the term "Mutants"?

Secondly, "I was a Former Teen Hero slash child soldier slash wartime medic" and to everybody just now getting powers and thinking that its your duty to use them for other people - it's not. You didn't ask for these. Don't get yourselves killed trying to be a big shot, I've seen it way... way too many times.

[ a pause. josh runs his fingers through his hair and tips his head back, sighing. ]

Oh my god, I sound so old. Anyway, on that note... my name's Elixir. I have healing powers and I'm offering them to other metas. If you have any need of any medical care, especially like... specialized care due to meta physiology, hit me up.

I know you do. But I also have plenty of memories about how you were used. I don't want to see you burnt out when you can have the happiness you had last time, helping real people.

Also, serious advice, get a house. Or a private apartment. Move in with Laurie already. You two are way past ready imo.

i appreciate it man, but i don't need you doing this every time i try to lend a hand. my baggage is my baggage and im the one who gets to decide how i carry it

Fair enough. I will back off on that, but remember I always have your back. It's a best friend thing.

Have you at least decided if you're guilding up, and if so, what city? I'd be sad if it was far enough away that I can't get in gaming or chill time with you.

also yeah i have and yeah. i'm going with excelsior. its no de chima but one of the hospitals there looks pretty promising. i wanna open up a clinic for mutants metas whatever and then also try to do some work on the theoretical side

So still in the same city. That's a relief. I chose Excelsior for the tech environment too. Got a gig at a place that specializes in assistive technology and prosthetics. If you ever run into someone who has tech sides on meta stuff, don't hesitate to refer them. I'm already doing meta consults on the side.

And if you run into non-metas looking for help with that sort of stuff and they don't want your brand of piecing back together, same thing.

Beyond that my apartment door will always be open to you. Couch and bed crashing are welcomed. Just need to make sure I'm in town at the time. I've already promised to help Bart on his farm some, and there are apparently road trips in the planning.

Who knew I would settle in so fast.

It's a way to help people I would never get to have back home. The technopathy really makes it easier.
