So... A few things I've been sitting on.

First up, Who here comes from a world where superpowers are a totally normal thing, and who here knows the hero team, uh... [ a pause as he realizes that he should've probably decided on a team before opening up this post. ] "Avengers" and the term "Mutants"?

Secondly, "I was a Former Teen Hero slash child soldier slash wartime medic" and to everybody just now getting powers and thinking that its your duty to use them for other people - it's not. You didn't ask for these. Don't get yourselves killed trying to be a big shot, I've seen it way... way too many times.

The Avengers are a little different from that. [ but advanced tech and soldiers seem about right. ] They're not government agents, but they do tend to just kinda chill with the government and turn a blind eye when its being awful.

Well, my father treated us like soldiers. The city treated us like heroes. I don't know that there was enough widespread knowledge for anything like a national or global reception.

But we also only just recently learned there were more than just the 7 of us. So I can't say, with a ton of accuracy.
