[ there's still snow melting on jon's shoulders and in his curls as he lifts a hand in greeting, a small, slightly uncertain smile on his face. evidently he's done the superman thing and either speedran the introduction to this new dimension, or else after the alliance brought the newbies to the diadem, he'd instead gone back out to help in the blizzard for a while longer. both options are equally likely. ]

Hi. [ for a moment, he looks every inch the worried seventeen-year-old he really is, but then his expression smooths, smile firming into friendly confidence. ] For those that don't know me, at home, I'm called Superman. I don't usually operate at the behest of a particular organization, but.. this isn't my dimension, I guess. [ he's probably still not signing up for a guild, considering he didn't even join the league, but.. you know. never say never. ]

Anyway, I still have a lot to pick up, since I'm a pretty new arrival, but I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself, since I'm aware that an unexpected blue-and-red blur in the sky could be kind of alarming if you don't know what it is.

[ his other purpose with this is to check in with anyone else at home, but he doesn't want to call them out if they're in hiding. ]

.. Also, I've done a little reading about the guilds here, and I'd love to hear your opinions about them, whether you're a native inhabitant of this dimension or not. Thanks!

[ Some people might be concerned about the blue and red blur in the sky. Others may be more worried about the sound of explosions progressing their way up Little Love's Main Street.

Lana isn't happy to be doing this— her costume is NOT insulated or waterproof! But people are snowed in, so she's not exactly about to just abandon them.

She's directing her blasts as carefully as she can to avoid any undue property damage, just melting and blowing away the meter high snow drifts blocking people into buildings. She casts a glance skyward and calls out, ]

[ he's not vlogging, lana. he made his video elsewhere after his initial pass over little love. the contained explosions were definitely a concern until he saw what was happening, though.

he drifts down out of the sky as she calls up for him, though, a massive fallen highway sign tucked under his arm that he was using as a road-scraper. ]

How long have you been out in this? [ does he need to gently insist she get out of the cold? ]

not unless there's a lot more about being half-kryptonian that i still have to learn. i guess you never know, though.

[ The highway sign is cute. And it helps give Lana an idea of what red-and-blue guy's powerset is. ]

I don't know... A couple hours? It's fucking freezing!

[ She punctuates her frustration with another explosion, aimed away from him, down the street. ]

I think that’s something you can definitively know.

Yeah, it's pretty rough out, [ he agrees sympathetically, and flips the sign over to scrape up the remnants of her snowy explosion, careful not to pry up the sidewalk while he's at it. he moves it over to the side, piling it onto a curb out of the way. ]

If you want to get out of this for a while, I can probably get you to Central and then finish up here. [ he hefts the sign. ] Or you explode, I'll scrape? [ he thought about using his heat vision to melt the whole mess, but with the weather being like it is, he's pretty sure it'll just cause more problems. ]

i don't know about COMPLETELY open. [ he hasn't said his name yet, or mentioned his family. he's not really sure if he wants to. ]

guessing you've been around a minute, then?

Central? Isn't that like... really fucking far away?

[ No offense, the guy is cute, but she doesn't want to spend hours in an awkward flying piggyback as he transports her across state lines.

She also would feel bad about bailing halfway through this mess. ]

I'm almost done this street. How about you help me wrap that up, then we can talk escape plans.

The Alliance is teleporting people out-- [ he turns, trying to take in the area, and points in a direction. ] --that way. [ he is really fast, but safely carrying someone moving that fast can be tricky, so. you know. better safe than sorry. ]

Fair enough. [ he hefts his sign with a quick, earnest smile. ] Explode away. Let's get this wrapped up. [ and check on the people trapped in buildings while they're at it. a lot of them probably just want to get home. ]

[ Seven MONTHS, but there are very few Robin comments and no posts on this account. ]

[ Yeah, teleporters make more sense. Even if Lana isn't 100% on how much to trust these Alliance people. ]

Alright, cool. Get ready to shovel!

[ She holds her hands in front of her and focuses her blast into a targeted point, trying to clear a path down the street and towards the door of a building on the corner. There are people visible in the windows, waiting to be rescued. ]

reasonably open! [ Far Too Open by bat standards, of course, but he's not a bat. ]

[ A DM comes through from an anonymous account, with the location of one of the taller buildings of in downtown Central City. ]

[ he's considered that this could be someone who isn't a robin, of course. it could be a supervillain from home, someone who wants to trick or trap or kill superman. it could be some awful alternate version of a robin, for that matter.

it's worth the risk to find out, though, and jon's one of the few people who can take that risk with reasonable confidence. .. still, he does scout the location out briefly, looking and listening for anything that seems out of place, before letting himself drop lightly down out of the sky. he slows to a stop a few feet off the roof to wait politely, because if he knows anything about bats, he knows they do things cautiously and in their own time. ]

[ he does his best to help direct the blast with the sign and quick little bursts of his heat vision, mostly keeping any debris from hitting windows, cars, or buildings, and catching and redirecting the snow. quickly, it's piled up onto the curb with the rest of it.

once it gets closer to the door at the end of the street, he plants the sign down in front of the windows to protect them, holding it steady and giving her a thumbs up. ]

[ Never fear, it IS a Robin, and he actually doesn’t make Jon wait long. This building was chosen because Tim had been nearby and already had eyes on it.

Because he was on it.

After a minute or so, he steps out of a shadow. If it looks like a Superman, there’s only a small chance he gets flung off the roof. ]

I couldn’t figure out how to discretely say it’s not the Robin you’re looking for.

I figured, [ he says with a little laugh, finally lowering to his feet to take in.. tim, he guesses? he doesn't know him very well, but rao knows damian's complained about him enough at points for jon to feel like he knows him. a slightly warped version, anyway. ] My Robin would've probably opened up a lot more aggressively.

[ damian's softened up considerably since jon's disappearance and following stay in the 31st century, but he's still very much damian.

he gestures to take in the rest of the rooftop. ] I assume you've done a pretty thorough sweep already, but I checked it out, too, if that helps at all. [ no one nearby, no one listening.. that he can tell. obviously if there are other people with hearing like jon's, he wouldn't necessarily know, but that's probably a long shot. ]

Still.. [ he hops up onto a heating unit for the building, crossing his ankles and offering a crooked smile. ] If there's anyone I do trust to know what I should probably know about being here, it's one of you. [ a robin, a bat. they're not great detectives for nothing. ]
