[ there's still snow melting on jon's shoulders and in his curls as he lifts a hand in greeting, a small, slightly uncertain smile on his face. evidently he's done the superman thing and either speedran the introduction to this new dimension, or else after the alliance brought the newbies to the diadem, he'd instead gone back out to help in the blizzard for a while longer. both options are equally likely. ]

Hi. [ for a moment, he looks every inch the worried seventeen-year-old he really is, but then his expression smooths, smile firming into friendly confidence. ] For those that don't know me, at home, I'm called Superman. I don't usually operate at the behest of a particular organization, but.. this isn't my dimension, I guess. [ he's probably still not signing up for a guild, considering he didn't even join the league, but.. you know. never say never. ]

Anyway, I still have a lot to pick up, since I'm a pretty new arrival, but I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself, since I'm aware that an unexpected blue-and-red blur in the sky could be kind of alarming if you don't know what it is.

[ his other purpose with this is to check in with anyone else at home, but he doesn't want to call them out if they're in hiding. ]

.. Also, I've done a little reading about the guilds here, and I'd love to hear your opinions about them, whether you're a native inhabitant of this dimension or not. Thanks!

No, they make you practice using your powers too, even if you already know what you’re doing. And they really bad at it. Lots of mats and nothing useful.

Oh. That's.. pretty boring for a school in the sky. I guess it means it's safer for young kids, though. Like.. ten-year-olds. [ .. sort-of-normal ten-year-olds who won't be going on to punch supervillains. ]

That’s what they call it. It’s too safe. This is supposed to be the school for metahumans, and they want everyone to join the guilds someday if they didn’t already.

You still have to fight if they put out one of those disaster warnings. So “want” doesn’t matter.

Telling people we're related in costume is fine. That wouldn't necessarily mean I'm the same guy they temporarily saw with the S whose face they have. For all they know, I'm someone entirely different that's related.

But if you go guild, they'll know your secret ID so if you say we're also related in our civilian IDs, well...

Wouldn't be that hard for them to figure out you're [His cousins? Genetic brother? Is there some in-between word when you're genetically brothers but cousin-like in relationship (Brosins??) Are they second cousins if he and Clark are cousins?] ...related to my civilian ID, too. And I want to keep that on the DL since I'm technically a criminal now. So I'd need you to just pretend I'm some guy, and we'd just pretend to be friends.

So it kinda depends on if you go guild or not. If you don't go guild and have a secret ID, too, your secret ID could also be related to my secret ID.

[ Okay... This isn't turning out too bad, she thinks. Not a horrible first time clearing snow, as a one woman superheroine plow service. She takes a deep breath, nods, and aims one last blast at the remaining snow drift, scattering and melting it, and finally clearing the door.

Relieved cheering comes from inside, and people start pouring out of the building, into the street. ]
