Soon-to-be-open speakeasy-style karaoke bar and lounge is seeking enthusiastic dedicated employees for ALL positions. The team will be handling a colorful customer base and ensure that everyone's time at our establishment is safe and enjoyable.

Schedules can be flexible. Part-time and full-time positions are available. Must be 18 or older. We welcome people from all types of backgrounds!

[The rest of the ad lists off payrates that are above minimum wage, a few other benefits, a tentative late November opening date, and the Central City address for said soon-to-be-open business]

[ The first thing Jubilee had bought, when given money, had been a yellow trench and the cloth to modify it. The second thing had been arm warmers. The things covered the scars on her hands from the crucifixion and she could get them funky.

Of course, then she'd gotten clubbing clothes, and a few other necessities of life. So, when she steps into the bar, at least she's wearing real clothes. She's wearing her signature trench and tight blank pants that are surprisingly comfortable. The crop top had been just because.

After being directed to 'Jay', Jubilee flicks her sunglasses up on her head. ]

Jay? I'm Jubilee, we texted about the job?

[ How does this work? She's never had to go find a job. This would be so much simpler if she could just curl up in a corner and stay there. ]

[Much of the building is under renovation but even with all the construction equipment, tarps, and plastic coverings, one can tell this is going to be a bar and lounge.

Jason himself is dressed in work boots, dusty paint-stained jeans, and a green t-shirt as he's been helping out with the construction. He gives a polite smile and nods at Jubilee]

Hey, good to see you. Bartending, right?

[ She leans against something that isn't wet paint, or dirty. Not that she minds the dirty, but lets not get paint on the new coat just yet. Besides, she has a work coat too. ]

Drink slinger, cleaner, all around girl Friday.

[ She shrugs. ]

What do you need?

[ She's willing to do pretty much anything... legal that is. The rest? Well, that's what roller blades and the mall is for. ]

A reliable bartender would be good.

[Jason walks over to the main bar and starts pulling away some of the plastic covers. There are already a few bottles of alcohol and mixers lined up for testing. Nothing too fancy but enough to make a few types of drinks]

How long have you been slinging drinks?

[ Jubilee smiles a bit. ]

A few years. Used to just be whiskey for... someone, then my friends learned that I could make fancier things, and from there, it kinda blossomed, ya know?

[ While she's talking, Jubilee is setting them up and knocking them down. While the whiskey and tequila are straight, and the whiskey on the rocks, of course - just in case - she also can make a few drinks. Sex on the beach is her specialty among the GenXers, but Long Island Ice Teas and a few others aren't hard.

She's not a fancy mixer, no throwing of bottles, or doing anything fancy, but she puts a cocktail in front of Jay that she'd had to grab the honey for. ]

Here, try this one. It's an interesting one and one I think could get some traction, depending on your clientele. The classic is just gin, honey and lemon. But I usually add grapefruit and pineapple juice to it.

[ She shrugs. Watching all that crap on prohibition in school had paid off - though she's pretty sure not the way Emma would have wanted it to. ]

Also, I'm assuming you don't mind me having powers?

[Jason watched Jubilee attentively as she mixed the drink. She seems comfortable doing the task at hand and he doesn't need her to do anything fancy like tossing bottles up in the air. She's still getting the job done. That's what matters more.

Jason takes the cocktail, briefly examines its look and then takes a sip]

Hmmm. Good stuff. Grapefruit and pineapple are nice touches to it.

And yeah. I don't care if you have powers. This place is meant to be for anyone, regardless if they're a meta or not. I also don't care if you're in a guild or not.

[ Jubilee's proficient, and moves with a grace that shows her years of gymnastics. She's used to this. She'd even gotten a job - with a fake ID - in LA slinging drinks. She slides a second drink over to him. This one is a Paloma, something she, personally, didn't care for. ]

So, I've done a fair bit of construction in my time. Need some help?

[ Might as well put herself to work. She's got nothing going on and is itching to do some work or another. It's that or steal, and somehow, she doesn't think that's a good idea yet. ]

The more, the merrier. What kind of construction jobs did you do?

[Jaosn then takes a sip of the paloma]

Hmm.... not bad at all. It's a staple for a bar to have at least.

[ She smiles a bit. ]

Residential, mostly.

[ The Mansion, Massachusetts. ]

But, I know how to take direction, and can swing a hammer and paint brush with the best of them.

Works for me. A lot of this is just renovating what was already here.

There's something else you should be aware if you wanna work here though. When I say this place is going to be for everyone, I'm including people from the Society. Some of the customers might be people who don't exactly work normal 9 to 5 jobs. Everyone's gotta follow our rules here though and you don't have to take shit from them if they're giving you trouble.

Are you okay with all that?

Totally unaffiliated dude. As long as they keep the peace, and keep their hands to themselves, I don't really care.

[ She shrugs. The Guilds mean nothing to her. Then her lips twitch into a small smile. ]

Never had a 9-5. Wonder what it's like.

[Jason makes a slight smirk back]

Not sure. Sounds boring from what I've heard.

We'll have security around too if things get bad enough.
