[ The post is a simple video, in which Hibiki is equipped in her gear and mask so that her identity is hidden as she adjusts the camera to point at herself as she quickly brushes her hair out of her face, takes a deep breath, and smiles at the camera. ]

Hello, everyone! My name is T—ah, wait, no—my HERO NAME is Gungnir! I'm 17 years old! My birthday is September 13th and my Blood Type is O! Last time I checked, my height was 157 cm! And my weight... uh... that's private! Super close friends only!! Ahaha...

[ Hibiki, what— ]

My hobby is saving people, and my favorite things are food and food! And finally... I've never—

[ She suddenly stops talking, realization dawning. ]

A-Ahaha, I should probably stop there, shouldn't I...?

[ She laughs nervously. Is there a point to this post...? ]

Alright, so anyway! Hello! Some of you may have um, seen me already... seriously, everything went viral so quickly... but anyway! Yep, I'm the girl who was singing when she took down that really big dragon kaiju! And now everybody is talking about me... it's pretty crazy, actually...

But in any case! I thought that it'd be a good idea then if my fans got to know me a little better! So, I've introduced myself, and now... you guys can all ask questions, and I'll do my best to answer them!

[ So it's an AMA post... surely, there's no way for this to go wrong, right? ]

Yes? I mean, uh...

[ She looks herself over. Is there something on her face? Is there something that makes her not look okay? Nothing that she can personally spot. ]

[He doesn't seem to notice how odd the question actually is. It's been at least several days since the incident, she clearly doesn't look injured, and surely someone else closer to her must have asked her this anyway.

What a weirdo. He's clearly asking this while slightly distracted - there's wires and all sorts of paraphernelia in front of him, and he says his next statement while connecting two of them together, gloved hands moving swiftly as he speaks.]

It was a lot, what you did. Going out and taking one of them down on your own, without the mechs. [Snap. The wires fall into place, and he picks up another pair.] A heavy burden that you didn't have to take. [The wires spark a bit in his hands, briefly lighting up his face.]

[...The speech is given rather impassively, half-distractedly, and with no change in inflection or tone, but...

It still feels sincere, somehow.]

...Ohhh!! That's what you meant!

[ Well, she was far from unscathed, but she's recovered by now. She's got no idea what it is he's doing with all of those wires and other mechanical stuff, so... she doesn't ask!

Expert solution, Hibiki. ]

Ehehe... it was nothing, really! I was just doing my best to help stop a disaster... plus, I've fought big stuff like that before, too.

[He blinks confusedly, not that she can see that from behind his goggles. What did she think he meant...?

Eh, whatever. It's probably the smart thing to ignore whatever he's working on - he wouldn't really give a very clear answer anyway.]

Have you? Like what?

[Color him curious. Based on her age, she's not much younger than him, so the thought of someone around the age of Aki regularly fighting giant disasters feels...

Well, it's odd to him.]

Oh! Well, you know...

[ No, no he doesn't, Hibiki. That's why he's asking. She sheepishly makes that realization and laughs awkwardly. ]

Well, it's a little hard to explain, but basically my world has certain threats, and we we have the Symphogears to deal with them... but only certain people can safely use them, and I'm one of those people!

[ Though it does feel a little strange because of the complete lack of Noise to fight. Usually those were happening all the time... either that or fighting simulation versions of them back at SONG for training. Now she hasn't seen a single one all month. It feels weird. ]

...So you were chosen.

[Yusei can briefly be seen looking down at his arm, but since he's still wearing his gloves, it's hard to tell what he'd been looking at. Maybe it's just whatever he's currently fixing.

Probably.]

...How did it feel, being picked like that?

[ That gives Hibiki reason to pause, her eyes blinking a few times before she looks down, holding a hand to her chest... ]

Well... actually, I don't think 'chosen' is the right word for it, ahaha...

[ It can't be seen, but underneath her gear where her hand now rests is a prominent scar in the shape of a Forte symbol. ]

I think normally I never would've been chosen. I just inherited it from someone who was...

[ Putting aside how Kanade was barely compatible with Gungnir, abusing the then-unrefined LiNKER to effectively brute-force her way into some level of compatibility with the relic and bending the spear to her will. In a way, for Kanade Amou, it would be more accurate to say that she was the one choosing, not the other way around.

And then the Zwei Wing concert happened.

And the Noise attacked.

And Kanade tried to save her, only for shards of her gear to break, shoot off, and embed itself deep into Hibiki's chest.

And then Kanade sung her final song. ]

A lot of stuff happened, really... but when I found out that I could fight and save people... well, back then I accepted without really thinking too hard about it, but right now? I think the fact that I can use a Symphogear is a miracle to be grateful for!

[ A LOT happened. ]

Hm.

[Yusei unconsciously grips his left arm with his free hand. He doesn't seem aware that he's doing it, and his expression doesn't give much away. But even though it's been several months since he first received the Mark of the Dragon, it still feels like he's stolen something that doesn't belong to him. He's not like Jack, or Ruka, or Aki, who had the mark practically from birth, and it always had flickered in and out, like it wasn't entirely meant to be with him, like it was tossed to him as a last second thought the moment he came anywhere near the conflict.

Sometimes he wonders, if Rudger had never been led astray by Yliaster, if Rex had chosen to fight for the Signers instead of rending the cycle apart...would he have ever recieved this?

If he knew the specifics of how Hibiki had recieved her Symphogear, he'd certainly sympathize more. But he'd also applaud her courage for seizing the power given to her without doubt, instead of how Yusei himself had cautiously treaded water, wary of how others were trying to use him and the others that had gathered.]

[He can admit that much, at least.]

[ She's not sure what's up with the way he's gripping his arm, both because of his lack of a showing expression and her own cluelessness. Still, that being said... ]

Oh, thanks! I had to train hard to get like this, y'know!

[ That's probably not how he meant it, Hibiki... ]

[...It's not, but it's still heartening to hear. He laughs a little, a short huff that clearly sounds amused despite its tonelessness.]

I can only imagine.

[One doesn't immedately level up to punching out kaiju singlehandedly, after all. There's a long pause, long enough to think that he's done asking questions.]

Be careful, okay?

Mm, of course! Thanks for the concern!

[ Seriously, it's weird getting it from others who aren't part of SONG... in general, the lack of privateness to her actions now is weird, but still... she appreciates it.

Even if Hibiki is bound to be reckless still anyway. ]

Don't worry, though! I'll be perfectly fine!

[Another one of those odd huff-laughs, this time somewhat more audible.]

...I don't doubt that.

[and he ends the call. guess he must be satisfied with what he's heard.]
