Talk to me about the guilds. Not the recruitment speech from the people from here, I mean opinions from others who were transplanted to this place.
[ooc: that's it that's the post please feel free to harass the hell out of Bucky/hit me up if you prefer to harass him in person and we'll work something out. Also please threadhop to your heart's content on anything not marked private]

The Guilds are good at PR; that’s true. They say it’s one of the benefits of joining: you have their spin machine behind you.
I’ve been reading up on the guilds and their founders. I know that teams can stray from their original intent, and guilds are larger than one team. I think it’s interesting that the only real autobiography from one of the active heroes around the time of the Godfall Incident is Frances Starling’s, which is more of a memoir than a history textbook. She’s unaffiliated, but you need to take all sides into account.
All the other big names just have social media and ghostwritten biographies.
Sorry for so late...
Then again, that's also PR, keeping details out of the spotlight. Still seems too good a deal.

[ Astroturfing. Someone is astroturfing everywhere to smooth perfection. ]
Things that are built into the culture get written about a lot in my world. How many times does someone publish something on the Titanic in your world, if that happened? Or celebrate an anniversary of the Wizard of Oz? Deep-dives on well-known topics sell.
