Greetings to all citizens. My name is River. I have a few requests to make. The first is where I might be able to purchase maps of the city. Preferably several copies. I have managed to find a craft supply store in the mall, which has proven to be helpful for other supplies. String, notebooks, markers, pens. Etcetera.

I am hoping to find my crew here. I plan to divide the cities into searchable sections. I would need volunteers for this mission, as there are four cities to cover and only one of me.

It is, of course, possible that they are not here. But only when you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. I wish to eliminate as much of the impossible as... well, possible.

What kind of crew are you guys?

That depends on the crew member. Certainly a bar. My brother, perhaps a library. Or a hospital.

It's not every bar in the city but it's a place to start once you got someone to accompany you

Jobs or hobbies they would have been drawn to? Guilds, any of them might have joined?

It also might help if you added their names to your first message, in case anyone who hears it recognizes them and can point you in the direction of them more immediately, too.

Some might avoid the guilds. None would join the Villainous Reformation guild. Jobs and hobbies are... tricky.

Kaylee might be drawn to the gardens. Inara would, too. Jayne would go anywhere there are weapons. Zoe is... hard to say. Especially after everything. Mal would look for work.

Simon would go to the hospital. To see if he could help.

That's a good handful of places that can be checked in each of the sections of the cities. It might even be useful to send messages to the hospitals. Of your list, those will keep the best records, especially of new arrivals working for them or who's been seen by them.

It can't hurt to have them check their systems either way.

There's as good a chance that you might find some of your people, as there isn't. Heroes and villains are being pulled into here from many universes. Some people are the only ones from their worlds even after months, but some people do manage to connect with those from their homes.

Has anyone taught you how to use your phone yet? You can look a lot of that up there. Unless you want to do an arts and crafts project or something, than I think there are some convenience stores that still sell them.

The thought had not escaped me that they might be hurt, somehow. Or had not figured out how to use their phones.

This is very old Earth tech. The sort only in museums, now. It might be tricky, for some of them.

Well, if it helps, all new arrivals show up to the same location, so like... if everyone is falling into Little Love, Kansas, there aren't people randomly showing up in Excelsior. Also, the Alliance seems to bring everyone back to their HQ and set them up at the Diadem, so it would be pretty unlikely for someone to avoid all of that and slip away unnoticed. Especially injured.

So what do you use where you're from? Holograms? Telepathy? Telepathic holograms?
