[ A tired young man who looks exactly like Billy Kaplan, colouring aside, is broadcasting from one of them Diadem rooms. ]
Anyone else fall out of the sky and run down the side of a building today? I might’ve missed seeing someone worthwhile because I didn’t read the nonexistent sign telling me to stay put the entire time.
So. Guilds, flash hotel rooms, superhero social media for public outreach or whatever. Consider yourselves reached. Name’s Speed. Should I give the tour now, or wait until I hit ten thousand followers? Nah. I know.
[ There’s a jumble of frames that are barely in focus. Anyone who pauses at the right spots will catch moments of a superspeed tour of the room: Tommy dressed but in repose on the bed, pretending to drink from the minibar, showing off the full ice bucket, and of course a bathroom mirror selfie before returning to where he’s been sitting. ]
I’ll redo it every time I get a cool number of follows, a little slower each time. I get bored. I’m already bored. There’s nothing to do in this hotel except watch tv. I’m going out. In a world where you could go anywhere you want at any minute, where would you go that’s not lame?
And don’t say Paris - I’ve been there, and it’s French. Good carbs. Bad music.

Where have you been!

Where have I been? Krakoa. Where have you been - I got through that entire post!

[ because, you know, he is too, but it's probably a good idea to sync up here. ]

[ Unless there’s another thing with their mom, which… yeah. He doesn’t want to know. ]
I’m from a few days after David, if that helps. [ And now he’s scowling. ] But you’ve both been here forever.
no subject
So you've already seen David. [ his brows knit, mouth flattening unhappily. ] I guess he told you about the.. time he's been away from home.
no subject
He found me when I was trying to figure out where I was.
[ There's a blink where Tommy's looking away and scraping his teeth over his lip, but then it's back to sitting normally. ]
Yeah. I got the whole story backwards, so first he leaned in hard on how sometimes you meet someone and you fall for them or some bullshit. Then he told me he's seeing someone here. So. You know. Really great planning from the guy who literally had a job making plans.

it's especially shitty on the heels of what just happened with their mom, which had hit tommy hard, especially since he'd had to.. see her. (billy's still angry that she hadn't said anything to either of them before doing that.) ]
Do you want to stay with Loki and I for a couple of days? Kate's there, too.
no subject
It has been the worst week. But he immediately squashes that thought, too, because even thinking it gives the relationship too much power.
So the offer has to get shot down as well. Tommy has to stay with us because he’s a mess? Pass. ]
And give up this sweet hotel room to have three roommates and make your board game night weird? It’s fine. Really. It’s no big deal.

he tilts his temple against tommy's shoulder, a sigh shuddering out of him. ] At home, I always feel you and Mom and Teddy, and none of you have been here. But for a little while, another version of Mom was, and then she was gone, and I've just-- I've really missed you.
[ that's not even an exaggeration. he misses his husband, he misses his twin, he misses their mother.. he's been lonely. ]
You don't have to, I guess, but it would be.. nice to have you near.

The thought is edited to Billy and Teddy, but Wanda Maximoff’s body in the bushes still bubbles up to Tommy’s surface thoughts. Everything gets tight and claustrophobic. ]
Mom’s fine. I saw her myself, and so did you. You’d’ve said something if she was wrong. And I’m fine. Teddy’s just late. He’s fine.
[ See everyone’s fine, Billy, so you can be too, and then Tommy can stop rambling and saying the word fine until it loses all meaning. ]
But I can stay over for a few days. I’ll keep out of his way so the drama will stay normal Kate levels.
[ He just assumes that if Billy, Kate and Loki live together that David is there too. He really is agreeing only for Billy’s sake. ]
no subject
[ and he's not bringing up how furious he'd been about tommy having to see her like that. he has a feeling his twin's already struggled enough with it.
he pulls back enough to peer at him, though, brows arching in surprise. ] David doesn't live with us. It was just Loki and I until Kate got here.

She didn’t mean to hurt anyone - she helped them at her own expense. Things got out of hand, and I wasn’t supposed to be there - I only got invited at the last minute…
[ To cheer David up. Feels like forever ago, but no. It really was just a few days ago. He should’ve said no and avoided the whole thing. Maybe even escaped the way Billy’s looking at him now, like he’s wrong for thinking something so stupid. ]
I - maybe I lost my temper a little. [ A lot . ] And told him to go fuck himself before he could explain anything, but with a lot more words in a lot less time. He told me to go find the Alliance and you. So I did.
[ Tommy flops back onto the bed, feeling worse for saying more. ]
no subject
[ he props himself up his elbow to look down at tommy, lips quirking up tiredly. ] Tommy, you had every reason to be angry. I mean, it's not like this was discussed with you before it happened. You didn't get a chance to say yes or no. One minute you're dating him, the next he's dating someone else.
[ he hesitates, then drops back down, expression shifting into anxious uncertainty. ]
It scares me, the idea of being stuck here for years.
no subject
[ That's how Tommy would do it, if it were him. With Billy off in space and Tommy generally transient, there's a decent chance that she could've pulled the whole thing off before anyone was able to find them and let them know. Especially if Tommy forgot to charge his phone. ]
If we missed it, I bet nobody would've told us. To "spare" us.
[ More like to not piss them off in any direction. Teleportation, healing, reality warping, superspeed - they pretty much are the shortlist of who to take out before a fight. Tommy would've tried to intervene with the plan, no matter what promises their mother made. ]
Speaking of sparing people... we weren't dating. We had fun, and that's it. It doesn't mean anything bad's coming for you and Teddy, 'cause you two actually have something real. Clear?
[ If history's written by the victors, Tommy's getting out ahead of this one. He told David, and now he's telling Billy. This isn't the story of how Tommy's heart got broken. ]
