Listen, to everyone else, I'm real sorry about using this thing into a bit of a a personal megaphone, but--

I hear the word on the street is that there are a whole buncha Spider-People swingin' around now and causing alls sorts of webby problems, so maybe we need a show of hands and a system. Perhaps a group chat? Do we have a group chat? We should have a Spider-Group Chat.

You know, for tactical... Spider... things. Like organising pizza night. The important stuff!

We're humans with spider abilities? The costumes came after. I think. It did for me, anyway.

I require more data for full understanding. Do you make webs? How does your vision function? Do you possess extra limbs and if so how does your mind compensate for them? Would they move in synchronicity?

[ He's clearly asking the questions half to himself, but the idea of a human-spider hybrid is certainly an intriguing one, even if they are more human than spider. ]

No! Well, some of us do. Maybe? I know one of us makes his own webs. But I think mostly we pretty much consistently stick to walls. And other stuff. But mostly walls.

May I ask if this was a purposeful mutation? I am, myself, a rare hybrid of species.

Yes, a good amount of scientific work went into bringing me into existence. My unique physiology has both human and Vulcan quirks to it.

You know I'm gonna ask the obvious question now, right? The 'what's a Vulcan' question. And how far away from human that is. Like are we talking humanoid-ish or like... I dunno, a whole other species on every imaginable level.

Vulcans are outwardly a similar shape to humans, though our biology has many internal differences, including a very different circulatory system. The outward differences that are most noteworthy are the shape of our ears and minor facial features. We are from the planet Vulcan and in my universe, we were the first alien race to make contact with Earth.
